  1. Wow, that is impressive. I wonder if the end result is much different with dark coarse hair? I would imagine it would be, any examples of that? Thanks-
  2. Curios what this may look like, if the hair loss got worse, or if a patient just opted for short hair? Thanks-
  3. This thread is very informative. OP really has done a stand-up job documenting the entire experience.
  4. Thanks, I am hoping this all works out. I feel prepared, but I feel kind of strange spending so much money on cosmetics. I know there are more important things, but I just want a decent head of hair. I am sure others feel the same way, I actually feel a little guilty and shallow. I imagine this is all part of the process. Thanks FutureHTdoc for the reply.
  5. midnight do you have anymore shots of the donor area. I think your work looks good, if you did not have the scar you could cut-down the sides and back and look just fine. Very normal IMO to have thicker sides and rear than top of your head even w/o MPbaldness. Looking at your pre-op photos you were pretty thin on top, I think you will be thrilled when this stage is over. I am thankful for your thread, I am about to schedule a FUE procedure for about 3000 grafts and I am following your journey very closely.
  6. Me: Norwood 3 with crown, started balding early thirties, really noticed an uptick around 31 in my hairline, then my crown in the past 2 years, 34-35. I would need a minimal of 2500 grafts, but really could go 3500 for what I really want in coverage. With FUE I think max seems to be around 3000, I have been told I can pull that off from pictures to Doctors. I do have wrinkles in my scalp, I do not think it is CVG, but it seems to be getting worse, just lines no rows or bulges. My scalp has a lot of laxity and I think it is just from sleeping on my side, lots of years in the sun, etc... I have been in contact with several different doctors, some of the highest regarded on this board. I have gone back and forth on the FUE vs FUT debate. I have worn my hair shaved even before any hair loss which really makes me want to undertake FUE. It always worked well and I never would have considered a HT, but I got some sun damage "discoloration" while on a medication and I want to cover that up and just grow my hair out for sun protection and looks. I also want to grow my hair out to cover up the wrinkles that are really noticeable in the morning getting better throughout the day. After consulting with Dr.Diep he is an FUE guy, it is his passion and he does have good results. This board which I have been reading for awhile seems to be really helpful and a wonderful place to gather info, so some feedback would be great, not just on Dr. Diep but on HT's in general. TIA!
