Yeah lowering it by a couple cms would leave me with not much of my forehead left lol measured last night and didn't realize how low a couple cms would take it.. always thought my forehead was bigger then it actually is.. At the end of the day this all just a guessing game and even with no real mpb in my family history there's no way to be certain where I'll end up. Yeah that would be the smart thing to do just to make sure! I live in western Australia dont know of any docs here but ill look into it! Though I'm pretty positive I'm not suffering mpb since my hairline hasn't changed since I was a kid.. I never notice any hair fall out either maybe a couple when I wash my hair but that's normal.. It's hard to hear the opinions but I it's what I expected to hear. I know waiting 10 years is the smart thing to do but this really consumes me.. I wish it was easy just to move on and not worry about it iv tryed and it doesn't last long.. Just feel robbed of my youth really and just wanna live the rest of my 20's not worrying about it.

Ooops double posted.. but yeah I knew most responses would be that I have great hair.. I was expecting that from a forum where most are legitimately losing their hair.. but just look at it from my point of view, iv always had the look of a receding hairline and really can't pull off the trendy hair styles even when I grow it out abit.. Also added a photo to the kind of hairstyles I like.. as you can see hard to pull off without a somewhat straight hairline.

Thanks for the reply guys, that's the longest iv ever had my hair and I don't really like it that long! Can't really do much with it at that length but it covers everything up nicely.. plus my girlfriend hates it that long haha I do look at my hairline in the mirror a lot lol pretty much everyday... hard not to when all the hair styles i like require the nice straight hairline and as someone said it does wonders to frame your face and looks a lot more attractive. I was told id need around 2500 grafts for what I want, but I thought id need more? I couldn't really warrant a strip scar unless I was getting 3000+ grafts.. Id actually prefer to get FUT now, seen lot's of Rahals results on the Italian forum and for the price and results it's amazing! I also see Rahal works on a lot of young guys too which I know most people are against.. there's one case on there where he has put over 4000+ grafts on a 26 year olds hairline who is in worse shape then me and actually experiencing hairloss so I don't see why it would be bad for me to get it done.. Also i'm 23 this year and i'm at the point where i'm getting more and more obsessed with my hairline and I really cant help it.. No ones ever mentioned it and my girlfriend only noticed it when i told her that I wanted to get a HT.. but really it doesn't matter to me what other people think it's what I think.

Hey guys been lurking here for years and would just like to share my story and get some other peoples opinion on my unique situation.. as I can't be bothered writing my story out again i'll just copy what I sent to a top recommended doc. "first off i'll tell you some background info about myself because I think my situation is a lot different then most people that you probably hear from and unlike most who get a transplant I don't think I actually suffer from MPB and no i'm not deluded like some people I have actual photos of me as a kid with the same hairline I have now. From the ages from about 1-3 years old I had a very golden blond hair colour.. but as i grew older my hair started to darken to a more dark brown colour but my temples and part of my hairline was still blond in colour and kind of like the fluffy yellow fur of a baby chicken.. the hair must of fallen out later because from the ages from of around 5 onwards I was left with the hairline i have now.. I'm not 100% sure why this happened.. but I may know the reason but this is just a guess and could just be a coincidence that it happened around the same time.. I drowned when i was just a toddler and was in a coma for some time.. i wasnt expected to survive and my parents were told on the unlikely chance that if i were to survive I would suffer some serious brain damage.. my parents never gave up and i woke up from the coma with no serious damage done.. I don't know if this had any effect on my development or not but as you will see from my photos it's quite strange. My hairline was something I never really noticed as a kid because i always had longer hair and what kid thinks of there hairline anyway? especially at that age.. it wasn't until i got to highschool where i actually started to put time into doing my hair by cutting it short and styling it... it was actually a big shock to me and i thought I must be losing my hair but i had never noticed any shedding of hair or it becoming any thinner... I quickly went through all my old photo books as a child and to my relief iv just always had a receding hairline... It actually really sucks because even most people suffering from MPB atleast had a juvenile hairline as a kid/teenager... but not me... I just thought id share that because i am only 22 years old and considered by most to be too young to operate on.. but this isn't something iv just rushed into iv been thinking of getting a transplant since i was 19.. I frequent many hairloss forums everyday looking at patient results and gathering information... Iv come to the conclusion if i can get a transplant it will have to be from Dr.Rahal.. his work is the most consistent iv seen.. his hairlines are amazing and the scars are pencil thin! I was denied by a few clinics who iv sent consultations too.. all giving me the same answer that im too young and to get on finasteride.. pretty much disregarding what iv told them and how i don't think im losing my hair and fin isn't going to help me... I was actually scheduled to get a transplant last year, I was going to get FUE as I like to keep my hair short and didn't want a big scar in the back of my head, I ended up cancelling the surgery because I didn't feel confident.. the doctor had lots of amazing results but there just wasn't enough of them for me to feel totally comfortable with going ahead... My mind has changed once again and iv never really entertained the idea of FUT.. but after seeing pretty much all of Rahals work and having a new found love for longer hair im actually 50/50 between the two now. Iv been taking finasteride for about 1 year now, no results as imagined but iv been using pretty much just as a safety net.. i have not noticed any sides except for loss of appetite so iv stuck with it, I also wash my hair twice a week with nizoral. My goals for the procedure is to lower the hairline a couple cm and close off the temples at a high density.. Theres no real history of MPB in my family.. with all the males from both sides of the family still with full heads of hair.. the only exception being my grandfather from my dad sides who slowly receded from the age of 60.. he is now 85 and bald.. my dad had the same hairline as me well into his mid 40's.. he got lung cancer and lost all his hair from chemo and died not long after so no real indication there.. but both his older brothers have full heads of hair with no receding hairline.. Me, my dad and brother have exactly the same hair characteristics my brother who is 3 years younger has the usual straight juvenile hairline. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read all of this iv attached a bunch of photos from when i was younger to where i am now and although they are not the best of quality it still clearly shows what iv explained." would love to know your opinions guys, I know most won't recommend surgery but as you can see my situation is a little bit more unique then others and really I just wanna live the rest of my youth with a nice hairline.

Hey, I pretty much have the same hairline as the topic starter.. thing is iv always had that hairline and naturally thin hair.. I don't think i will start balding anytime soon.. my dad really only started to lose hes hair when he went through chemotherapy and he was in hes late 40s by then.. But my question is how many grafts and whats an estimated cost if i just wanted to thicken the entire top of my hair and level my fringe / hairline out?
