  1. Hi all, I recently had a hair transplant from Dr. Humayun Mohmand (Recommended surgeon in this website) at their HTI Karachi (Pakistan) clinic. The service was excellent and I had 3129 grafts and this is my 1st session. I was classified as "level 6" baldness and I'm 30 years now. I was also recommended to take Propocia/Finesteride after HT for one year although the consultant at HTI Karachi Mr. Faisal Waheed said it's not a must to take Finesteride after an HT if I was concerned by its side effects. I also bought a HairMax laser comb. Meanwhile, I read in this website somewhere, that an HT surgeon in the US says that Finesteride may not add any extra value to people with level 6 baldness (shining crown ). Also, two neurologists here in my country both are MD, MRCP(UK) told me that Finesteride may have side effects such as sexual issues and thus asked me if possible, to avoid using it. Now, please some experienced here tell me: 1. Whether I need Finesteride to maintain my TRANSPLANTED hair ? (Or without Finesteride, would my transplanted hair also have the chance of getting affected by DHT ?) 2. Are there any chances that my donor area (current donor area) and transplated hair also getting affected by DHT later in my life perhaps ? (Does such thing happen generally or Surgeons select the the area which has no chance of getting affected by DHT ?) I am fully happy with the services of HTI Karachi and they are always available for the queries and a very ethical & trustworthy clinic. However, I'd just like to know the views of the other members here. Thank you for your time, ----------------------------------------- 3129 grafts by Dr. Humayun Mohmand (Awaiting results) HairMax Laser Comb Minoxidil 5%
  2. Of course I had a wonderful and unforgettable experience there in Karachi. Dr. Humayun seems to be highly talented, yet a very very simple & approachable doctor. Your clinic is situated in a high profile and security area and I have had no problems with your services or with the atmosphere there. For anyone who is considering an HT, I would really recommend your office in Karachi without any hesitations. You pay really personalized attention to each & every patient, very very friendly, speak very good English making everyone to easily communicate with you, very satisfactory prices, and your staff are also great & friendly people. Apart from all, as you know, I can witness that you are a 1000% trustworthy professional and all your dealings were absolutely world-class & ethical. As I stated, if the God willing, I'll come there again for my next surgery too. Thanks for your wishes and meet you again soon In Sha Allah (If the God willing).
  3. Seems impressive I've had a session with Dr. Humayun very recently. Few days before. 3129 grafts and hope it'd work out nicely. Really impressed with the services - specially at their Karachi office consultant Mr. Faisal Waheed was really really helpful and very reliable person
  4. Hi Aramis69, Are you serious ? They informed me that I wanted to make an advance to book the dates and it seemed logical too. How they allowed you to book a surgery date without making a single penny ? (Assuming you are not a cousin brother to Dr. Humayun LOL! )
  5. Ha ha It's just my habit Please do not mind. Yes, could you also share with me the price quotation you got from HTI via a private message please ?
  6. Dear Bash, Many other members doing the same thing can not be a scale to come to a conclusion that a particular practice is good or bad. Even if 100K other members shared price quotation publicly, still just I think disclosing the price quotation is not that good in a public forum. Apart from it, I have no personal reason to avoid sharing price quotation here as I am a tax payer in my country as well as pay taxes to the US Government for my business bank accounts maintained in the US. Plus, I can not have personal hesitation to disclose what I spend on HT as I am not using my real name here and it is virtually not viable for any authority to trace me through IP for this amount of money
  7. Dear Bash, I think it is not good to mention about the price quotation in a public forum. You may contact them and request a quote. They may request you to send them your latest photos taken from different angels. Anyways, as far as I have searched around in Google, Dr. Humayun Mahmond seems to be offering very affordable charges and they are extremely professional & ethical. Never asks anyone to pay them without proper invoices and maintains registered company bank accounts in a clear manner. HTI pricing seems affordable than Indian HT surgeons and HTI has offered its services to many V.I.Ps than any other HT facility in the region, if not the world. Hope this helps.
  8. Hi Aramis69, Glad to hear from you I plan to do it next month (December) if the God willing. Faisal said Dr. Humayun would perform the surgery. So I think he'd create hairline, isn't it ?
  9. Hi Aramis69, Thanks a trillion for this great post. I am about to book my HT with Dr. Humayun and in the process of applying for visa. I have planned to get this done at the HTI Karachi clinic and the communication I had with Faisal - a senior official at HTI Karachi was extremely and very extremely helpful, friendly, understanding as well as professional. Similar to you, I am also going alone to Karachi but not from the UK - from another South Asian country. I am planning to do about 3000 grafts as they have suggested and hope things would go well for me too. I am 30 years and having experiencing hair loss for about 5 years now. Your post is immensely useful for people like me. Much appreciated and request you to keep this post updated. Thanks again.
