  1. My hair loss pattern is normal, I don't believe it is scarring alopecia but no, I haven't had any biopsies as yet.
  2. Hello all, I wonder if anyone in the community can help me. I am UK based. I had a procedure in 2017 at Feller Medical in the USA. This was done via the strip method only and I had circa 3000 grafts. Six years later however, I am still experiencing intense itching of the entire scalp. I have been to doctors and dermatologists and the scalp looks completely healthy. They cannot see any dermatitis, dandruff etc or any obvious issues which could explain the problem. Has anybody else experienced this, or can anybody shed any light on why this might be happening? I was keen to have another procedure, but I would be too frightened to do this at present given my current scalp issues. I can only assume this would make matters much worse. If anyone can help me I would be enormously grateful. Cheers all, R.
  3. Ok thank you. What treatment was recommended for you and has this helped? It's been 4 years or so with this problem so I hope I can find a solution. KR Richard
  4. Also... I was keen to have another procedure at some point but I am pretty nervous about doing this given how much my scalp itches already...
  5. Thank you, I have spoken to the Dr but he wasn't able to give me a specific explanation for this. He did suggest the possibility of a dry scalp which could have been exacerbated by the surgery which seems plausible. I think I need to go to a dermatologist / trichologist and get their opinion. I have been (very) patiently waiting for the itching to subside, but so far it has not. Kind regards Richard
  6. Hi guys, I had a strip procedure at Feller Medical in NY about 4 years ago, around 2985 grafts. All seemed to go well but my scalp has been super itchy ever since. Has anyone experienced this? I can't seem to find a lot about this so I am assuming it's pretty rare, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Also have some scarring from the strip surgery which is quite visible when my hair is short (even at #4). Any advice much appreciated. Cheers Richard
  7. Thanks for the reply. Whilst you were on finasteride did you notice your hair thicken or just stop receeding? Is it not possible to just have another transplant if more hair falls out.. Surely this would be preferable to using meds long term... the more dht-resistant hair on your head I guess the better? I know there is a finite supply but with some folks having 10,000 graft sessions etc, does there not come a point where enough hair has been transplanted even to hide future loss? Do you mind me asking how much it cost you? (approximately). Cheers.
  8. Hi, congrats your hair looks great and very natural. From the pictures, it doesnt seem like you had lost a great deal of hair though? I would be happy with what you had before your transplant! I wonder whether people who have lost more hair would have results that looked as successful as yours? Also, are you taking medication? I would like a transplant but have been advised that I would need to take propecia or equivalent for the rest of my life and it has been shown to cause impotence and lowered libido etc. I wouldnt want to end up in a position where my hair looked good for a while and then it started thinning in other areas. Did you experience shock loss or any other issues? Thanks.
