  1. Hi, it seems little bit low frontal hairline. When patient will be his late 40s , such type of lower hairline would seem awkward. It is just my point of view. However results are good and encouraging.

I don't buy into the age appropriate myth, with all due respect. I know people around me who are in their 70s and who have lower hairlines than the guy in the pic. However, I agree that most men do not have low hairlines pass 50.

  2. I think H and W are a brilliant clinic, and if I wanted strip surgey these would be the guys I would go to, even with the odd bad result..shit happens. No one's perfect...you can't hit the bullseye every time.

But...this operation was a failure, the patient isn't happy, everyone reading this thread can see it was a failure. I know it can obviously be a shot to the ego when you are so good at something, and you don't quite hit the level your use to hitting.

Just give the guy his money back as promised, hold your hands up and admit it was a failure and move on. I think everyone will respect the clinic a lot more for that, rather than trying convince us that this was a good result.

    Well said.

The most upsetting thing is when a clinic wants you to see something that is not there. This is not a successful operation (a failure). H and W are the best FUT guys. This is not a good representation of their results. It reminds me of a moderate response to Rogain.

If Dr Hasson considers this a success, then what is a failure:confused:?? I feel sorry for you Correy53 that you have to go through all of this. But be sure that one day you will have a new thread that shows you results after a corrective surgery and you know what..your hair will look stunning .

  3. I think that the result is bad and the patient is entitles to a full refund. Feel sorry for you but the bright side is that it's not a large session :) I respect Dr Hasson and I met him in person and he was so nice and respectful, but I will keep an eye on this case to assess my decision based on the outcome.

  4. I really despise threads that come across as publicity and free advertising for clinics such as Ziering(?).

Look, to anyone who is reading this thread, who is just starting to learn about hair transplants, let me say this: hair transplants are expensive whether you go to a shitty doctor or to a top 10 doctor. So please do yourself a favor and go to the best doctor in the industry. And if you cannot afford it, then save some more. You think bald looks bad? Imagine bald, unnatural plugs, poor growth, a hairline that resembles a corn row more than anything else, coupled with a freaky strip scar preventing you from ever being able to shave off your hair again. Just my two cents. Good luck!

    Well said!

  5. I remember that so well and it annoyed me a hell of a lot. It is good that the industry is getting more interest and publicity but it was very misleading. I am sure the transplant has made a big difference in Jason's life but I would feel uncomfortable going in front of millions of viewers knowing he was wearing a load of concealer.

I did not have the knowledge back then. So, I was one of those who were misled and I thought that 3501 grafts (the number is stuck to my mind) would give you the coverage it gave Jason.

What annoyed me the most was how Ziering was trying to justify that he did not notice that Jason was wearing concealers. Well, if he was saying the truth, then I'd never ever go to a doctor who does not detect that his patient wears toooonnns of concealers.

By the way, Ziering's assistant in LA asked me if I had had consultations with other doctors and I mentioned Feller and then he rolled his eyes and said that he did not know him:confused:. What a pathetic way of convincing people:mad:.

    Off topic

Ziering is involved in the Histogen project:rolleyes:.

  6. I went to Ziering himself in LA for a consultation and he and his assistant kept telling me about Hollywood celebrities to impress me. Not to mention what I think is a scandal when he appears with Jason on TV to lie to people.

I will neve ever go to any clinic that is associated to him.

  7. It's been 4 and half months I'm on Finasteride and my hair are shedding all over the scalp. Shedding started in the second month and now I see bunch of hair whenever I touch them. More than Half of the hair that shed are from sides and back.

I don;t know what is going on!! I'm thinning in the permanent zones. :(

    P.S

Some of the hair that shed are very small vellus type or thin hair.

The good news is that Finasteride does not cause hair loss. I've been on the drug for more than 18 months and I've got to tell you that I shed every 3-4 months for a couple of weeks. I guess that the hair that you shedd are the weak ones that will be dormant for some time then they will grow stronger and thicker. My advice is stick to the drug for a year and then assess your situation.

  8. BridgetJones, I really don't like to jump on an unsatisfied patient, but your write up and your photos don't synch up. Your hair looks just the way I would expect it to look after 1400 grafts from where you started. I'm not sure if your expectations were too high or if you are having trouble seeing the reality of how you look now from where you came from, but you hair looks really good, definitely not like the "beast" from beauty and the beast. Looking at the comparison below I don't know how you could think a HT was the worst mistake of your life, or why you feel you can't leave your house.

    Agree!

Your hair looks better than 90% of the people I see on the street. That is, streets would be empty if people with similar or worse hair stay at home:)

  9. My recommendation after looking at your pics is simply no. However, if you are looking at this as an option then you HAVE TO BE ON MEDS FIRST!!!! I can't emphasize this enough.

If your doctor doesn't want to prescribe medicine such as Propecia first and then checking on you as a candidate then you should be running like hell. I would recommend starting medical treatment at least 6-12 months before a follow up with a doctor. At this time you may also consider blood tests to make sure that the medicine is not having any negative effects on your body. If you can't stop the apparent DHT flooding to your scalp then why would you transplant follicles to the top of your scalp if you are just going to continue to lose hair? The hair that is transplanted will not be enough to cover your whole scalp. Thankfully you have a lot of hair still and I would recommend starting a photo journal of your hair loss. If you notice it progressing start with medicine first and hope you don't have the side effects. If you do, then you are not a candidate for a hair transplant.

No one can predict what your hair loss will be accurately, but looking at those in your family is a decent guess.

    Well said!

Gage, I'd like to bring to your attention that, according to what I see from your photos, your loss is not as minimal as you may think. I don't think that 1000 will be enough. You and I are of similar age and level of hair loss and I know what I'm talking about as I've had a number of consultations with the top surgeons in the world. Do you know that if you want to lower your hairline 1 cm, you need around 1500 grafts? Do the math. If you are looking for a full head of hair and a dense hairline, then 1000 is not what you are looking for. I know how difficult it is for all of us to lose our hair and I know how it is for some of us, especially of young age, to see other people who have those low and dense hairlines. But you should know the limitations of HTs before knowing what they can give to you.

If you want my advice, be on medication before you think about a HT. If you are in a hurry and cannot wait, then send you pictures or have a consultation with some good doctor. I recommend Dr Hasson, Dr Rahal and Dr Feller as I've had consultations with them.

    Good luck:)

  10. You know what! I think that should do your research before taking the plunge.

I think that 1000 will not make a big difference given your loss. I think that you should consider being on medication and re-assess your situation in a year or so. I know quite a few who were about to get a HT but due to their outstanding response to the drugs, they did not get a HT.

The point that I'm trying to make is that you should read into hair restoration before doing any thing as when you get a HT, there is no way back. Also, you should keep in mind that a HT is not exact science and that there are a lot of factors that affect the results. So take it easy and take your time.:)
