I had my first transplant done about 15 years ago and it worked well (residing hairline). I had my second operation four years ago and the hair came after 4-5 months but the hair stayed only for a very short time and then fell off again. My surgeon said that he had never heard of a case like that before. Last year I had my third operation in the same area of my head but with a different surgeon. I told them my story and showed them the photos and they said that I had just been unlucky with my doctor and the method used. So I went through it all again and the hair grew after 6 months but by the ninth month 80% was gone again. I have used finasteride after both operations and I am still using Minoxidil 5% That was the last try for me as I have no more donor hair. But I need to know why this happened to me and if this has happened to anyone else as both my surgeons claim that they have never experienced this before.
