  1. I haven't used any medication to treat the hairloss.. Don't know if I will.. As for the grafts, like I said, I saw some amazing resuts on this site, where individuals with evnt worse hair loss than mine were able to achieve amazing results with like 2500-2600 grafts...that's why I'm so confused.. Why is there a such disparity between the estimates I've been receiving?? How do I choose the right doctor?
  2. Hi All, I’m 27 and have been losing hair since about 22. I also haven’t taken any medicine. Very recently I began thinking about HT and began reading a lot about the process. That’s when I was fortunate to find this site. Anyway, I had discussions with several coalition doctors and I’ve received very different info. For example, one stated that I’m NW 5a, the second one stated that I’m NW3. I communicated an identical to all the doctors and the range I’ve received was significant from doctor to doctor. The range is approximately from 2,500 to 4,000 grafts. I’ve reviewed quite a few pictures of individuals with similar balding patterns who achieved awesome results with 2500 grafts and, contrary, achieved horrendous results with 3500 grafts. I definitely understand that results depends on the doctor and the patient... That’s where I need your opinion…. Based on the attached pics: 1)Do you think that I’m NW 5a or 3 or something else? 2)How many grafts do you think I will require to completely fix my hair line and completely fix the top of my head? I pretty much don’t want to see and bald spots or the scalp and would also love to have some density. 3) Based on your experience with similar hair loss, is there a doctor that you can recommend? I’m also scheduled to meet with a very prominent coalition doctor in the next few days, so I’m pretty curious what he’s going to say. Thanks for the feedback!
  3. ShiningDome, do you have any pre-op pics that you can share? If you do, please do so as I'm currently considering a HT with Dr. Feller and might require the same amount of grafts as you did. Thanks a lot! .... btw, you results looks awesome!
  4. Hey Eagles, by your name is it apparent that you're from the Philadelphia area. So am I. GO EAGLES!! Recently, I visited the Bosley office in Philadelphia and kind of blogged about the visit on this site. Many have suggested that I stay away from Bosley and suggested that I reach out to other doctors. One of the doctors mentioned was Dr. Feller, who is located in the NY area. As was communicated to me, Dr. Feller is one of the best doctors in this industry and has some serious experience with HTs. I also reviewed the pics for many of his pro and post HT jobs. The results look awesome. His patients are also very satisfied with his work. And that means a lot to me. Anyway, I scheduled a consultation with him for next Friday, July 27. I'm so anxious. I can't wait to sit down with him and talk to him about my situation to see what he's going to say.
  5. As you know, a HT can be pretty expensive. I was wondering whether you know any good lenders that offer financing options for the procedure. As I understand, Capital One was once a good provider, but they decided to discontinue the program. What are some other viable options preferably interest free? Thanks!!!!
  6. I've heard great things about Dr. Keller. I definitely will consider him now. Quick question tho. Can you arrange a payment schedule (18 or 24 month) or does he require you to pay the whole amount upfront?
  7. I've read a lot of great reviews about Dr. Feller. I think that I'm going to drive to NY to have a consultation with him. Have you guys heard anything about him???
  8. How about Dr. Feller in NY? I hear a lot of good things about him.
  9. Hi All, I’m a 26 year old male who has been losing hair since about 22. I’m finally thinking of getting a HT. Anyway, I went for a Bosley consultation last week and was told by one of their consultants that I'm class 5A I will need anywhere from 1800-2000 grafts and that Dr. Michael J. Cornwell, M.D will conduct the procedure. I have another appointment scheduled with Dr. Michael J. Cornwell next week. Has anyone heard of him????? Please provide feedback…. Also, they provided a quote of about $4.75 a graft plus a $845 fee “for everything else, e.g., medications, anesthesia, post-op healing kit, post-op visits, etc” Is that a good price??? Lastly, if possible, please provide other doctors in the Philadelphia area that I can maybe visit. I would like to have this procedure sometime soon so a prompt response will be greatly appreciated Thanks!
