  1. Paul Giamatti obviously doesn't care about hairloss. He's been losing for years and has never attempted to hide it. And he's been in a ton of excellent movies.

An issue like that during a movie isn't going to bring everyones' attention to a balding guy. No one would probably think twice about it. Only balding guys really think that much about it

  2. John - I don't understand the point of your post(s).

You're not even 3 months post-op. You KNOW that you will not see results from a transplant until at least 4-5 months, and you're freaking out? What exactly are you trying to prove? Are you just having a breakdown? Please try to calm yourself and see where you're at in a few months.

  3. Is getting around 3,000 grafts in the frontal 3rd too agressive for a guy whose loss will further progress? I'm thinking that its just about right, and I am going to ask to keep the hairline more conservative to compensate for my future loss. I just want to play this as safe as possible.

Also, since the doc is shaving, do you think they can leave a small little tuft to help in the aid of a rad comb over post op so you don't have to buzz your whole head? Similar to what petschki did? I'm talking just a small little section.

    Thanks in advance

  5. I did an online consult with Rahal... Of course it isn't as good as going in. They will estimate your graft count and if you schedule for surgery, you will have your in person consult day before surgery.

Now, if going there for a consult isn't inconvenient for you, then by all means do it. A doc can only tell so much by pics.

  6. Although I'm no expert as I haven't had an HT yet.. I'd say it just really depends on how much native hair you have left. I really do think a style like Owen's can be acheived if you have a good amount left on the top and crown, and are just replacing the front...

I don't know.. but I don't think anyone is really limited to one style. A guy I work with had a HT (almost positive) and he wears the slicked back look... it looks terrible. So I wouldn't opt for that.

  7. i have a question regarding cutting/buzzing hair post op with Rahal. A Rahal patient on another site stated that Rahal's instructions were to not cut the hair for one month after HT. Is this true?

I would be screwed trying to go back to work 2 weeks post op (probably going to be anyway, haha)

Now, it doesn't seem many rahal patients ive seen on this site have waited that long.

and how long until concealer can be used post op?

    thanks guys
