  1. Rod, I've done Muay Thai and Karate for years and if I moved to a new state and met people who have trained in the same thing I would ask them if they recommended a dojo. Doesn't mean that I would actually go and sign up at the recommended places. I would go and check them out myself and make a decision. But you can't tell me that you wouldn't ask other people what their recommendation is. This is no different. Also, there are other sites just like this one claiming their sites have vetted all their surgeons.
  2. Appreciate all the comments but no one is really giving me any real answers. I've researched this for years, over ten to be exact. I've gone from site to site and one contradicts another. I know about all the different procedures from the strip to the neograft to the FUE to the new supposed robot technique. Even cloning has been mentioned. All the physicians say they only have all great outcomes and have pictures to support what they say which is a bunch of bullshit or else no one would be bald. Now I hear that there is a group of technicians that go around the country and actually do the HT procedures for physicians and patients may never even see the doctor. What's even more disturbing is that some offices will never tell the patient's that a technician has just done their procedure. If a physician is promoting HT with their practice then that physician should be doing the procedure not a technician. Furthermore, these technicians aren't even real medically trained people most of the time. Prepping the donor hairs is one thing but doing the procedure should only be done by a physician. This last guy that I spoke with was once an EMT and that is his only medical experience which is next to none. Driving an ambulance around taking basic vitals is not medical experience. I'm even amazed that the physician allows him to do the procedures. I've been a therapist for 20+ yrs and also a nurse and I still wouldn't be arrogant enough to perform any type of surgery. Jazzy I assume you have had HT before and you have good results and aaron123 I'm assuming you have a PERFECT head of hair after almost 5500 grafts but this mostly seems to be an industry of scam artists. So to cut through all the bullshit, if someone wants to recommend a real physician in the PA, NY or NJ area who has had good results then please provide the names. Again, I've done my HOMEWORK mates. I'm just trying to get some straight answers from people who I think have gone through or are currently going through the same thing I am.
  3. Wow Jotronic. Your HT look really great and thanks for being so open about everything. I can only hope to get similar results. You said that the techs and the Dr Wong did your HT. Did the techs actually do any of the transplantation or donor site removal or just the work of prepping the donor hairs? This character Stephen Archibald is telling me that generally technicians do all of the work and the physician just oversees everything. I have a real problem with that since I'm paying the fees to have a doctor do the procedure not just watch. Do you have any recommendations for hair transplant surgeons around Philadelphia?
  4. Jotronic Thanks for the response. Have you had HT before? Did the physician who stood by the procedure actually do it? Stosh
  5. I had transplant surgery years ago and now I'm considering it again with neograft. Has anyone had HT from Dr Glat's office in PA? Apparently, the technician and practice director Stephen Archibald is the one who will do the procedure and he tells me that generally technicians are the ones that are doing the HT not the actual physician. Does anyone know if this is true? Is this a red flag? I need some info as soon as possible if anyone knows anything about this guy Archibald and Dr Glat. Seems strange that you pay for a physician to do the procedure and a technician is actually doing it. Thanks Stosh
