  1. I am going to have FUE surgery. my question is, i know when you buzz cut a HT it looks a bit un-natural because the hairs kind of spike up. iv seen people mention you should ask the hairs to be placed facing flat to the scalp during HT if you want to buzz cut it further down the line, the hairs laying flat would look alot better for FUE then them being placed normally. is this true?? also if you had the hairs inserted like that, if you grew your hair out with the hairs lying flat to the scalp, would it still style the same when a bit longer?
  2. also what makes me donor good? is it because its quite dense? does this help in the look of my result or does it just help camoflauge the scar well because my hair isnt thin or diffuse at the back?
  3. ok thanks for clearing that up guys.
  4. i see so maybe if they are shooting for a lot of grafts they might make the strip a tiny bit wider? and i suppose its pot luck to how many grafts ppl have per cm so one person might be lucky and have a higher count then someone else?
  5. Just a quick question...... So you have your mega-sessions which are probs 3500 grafts+, then the lesser sessions say anything up to 2500 grafts. Usually the strip scar is a smiley face shape, but for the lesser sessions for say 2500 grafts, could you not just have a straght strip scar without having to extend the scar up around towards the ears? obviously for a mega you would need to extend the scar the to get the required grafts , but for the lesser sessions is it not possible to leave the curved bits out of it?
  6. Thnx newhair. I did try romaine for a few months. I didn't really see any results although I probs didn't try it for long enough, and to be honest putting it on morning and night was a bit of a pain, although I know thts just the way it is, but I think with my hair loss what will be will be, and I don't think romaine will make too much difference , but I will deffo stay on the propecia. Wow 2000 that would be good considering I was thinking oh my god Iv not gt a very good hea of hair and I'm gonna need 4000 to start! Seen your pics btw new hair looking very good!
  7. I take it every other day because I experienced a bit of sides taking it every day so lowering the amount of times I take it to bi-daily has seen a major improvement in the sides. I now experience no sides at all. Iv also seen other members on here doing the same routine. I don't quite think 2000 will be enough, maybe 3000.
  8. Thanks dutch. I will have enough money for 4000 grafts if needed come xmas time. by that time i will be 25 and half years old. So maybe this could work out well and be a success story i hope!
  9. Hello. im a 24 year old male, 25 this year. i have been losing hair since the age of 16. i have been on for propecia on and off for 2 years, but am taking it consitantly now on a mon/wed/fri 1mg. I am in a position where i can afford to have a HT at the end of the year. i have been on this site for a couple of years now just watching and have learnt so much i could be an expert lol, you lot are a great help! i know im young but i think my hairloss state does grant a HT. I have been thinking about it for over 2 years, and now the time just seems right! I know im probs gonna need 2 mega sessions in my life, so i went to get the first one under way to regain a nice hairline and go as far back as needed. I would like a nice hairline and then the rest behind i dont mind it being over dense because i know thats not possible being a will prob progress to a nw6/nw7, but its not as bad as it sounds i have a very narrow head lol so im hoping the surface area wont be too large to cover, and my donor density is quite good i think. Overall in my HT journey as i said i would like a nice fringe and then a nice coverage over midscalp leading back to a light covering of crown. i dont mind having a thin criwn in the long run. i have uploaded some pics, a couple of them are with my hair wet im sure you can gather which ones. In the sun now my hair looks very thin on top. Would love just to get that fringe back and not worry about wind etc exposing my bald receding bits lol. IM considering dr.rahal, H&W, and dr.Feller! Opinions please people!!, thankyou!!
