  1. Hi Matt, Looks fantastic. Congratulations on your new look. How do you feel with your new hair. What has been the reation to your new look? Has anyone noticed the transition. Cheers Craig.
  2. Hey Matt, I'm sure that it will be fine - I don't want to stress you out. You’ve made a big decision and you are relying on their expertise to get the whole thing right. I have previously had a mould of my head taken to match the contour of my head so the piece can be made to match your head shape. Also it will ensure that you get good strong bond. However they might have a base that is flexible enough to allow it to fit the shape to your head without doing any mould. The colour thing is a pretty standard thing though. Did you decide to get it there and then because you've made up your mind? When I was at AHS, they had a similar product called NSG and I got 6 units a year and after they got the adhesive right, I didn't have to do any maintenance myself. However I was there every second Friday for a refusion, so it would be secure before my footy game on Saturday. Cheers mate - I'm sure it will be all good.
  3. Hey Matt, Thanks for the feedback. I think the forms thing is pretty standard for the hair replacement clinics. I remember having to do the same thing when I first started at AHS. I think they also use the forms for general marketing stuff too, so they know how to target prospective clients. Did you get to look at any of their clients. If so, what was your impression. I guess the way Ashley and martin work is to get the young dudes on a regrowth plan and lock them in. Then they are too afraid to stop in case the they end up going bald. It’s like $4000 a year for propecia and other stuff to keep the hair they have. I’m not sure how old you are, but I would have been hooked by the sales pitch to keep my own hair. It sounds like you know your stuff and what will work for you. What made you decide a hairpiece was the right solution for your particular case? One to two weeks is a short time for the delivery of hairpiece. Are they custom making one specifically for you. Did they do a head mould and take hair samples? Mate, I’m super critical about my own hair, and I reckon I’ve developed a keen eye for other wearers, so I’m more than happy to provide candid feedback on the system when you get it. Good luck Matt.
  4. Hi Will88 I guess that you sort of addicted to having the unit because you don’t want the bald look and every time I have the unit removed there is this ugly bald bloke staring back at me that I don’t recognise. I considered transplants, but when I went for a consult, the doctor told me that my hair loss was aggressive and I should wait until full pattern was known. He pretty much said wait till you’re bald and then consider the transplants? I decided to look into other options, which led me to AHS. You might want to consider coolpiece, northwest lace and toplace for online hair replacement systems. Northwest is the best for customer service. But there is great place in Melbourne called precision hair pus. You mentioned strange circumstances got your into systems. What were the strange circumstances – I’m intrigued. Let me know if you have any questions - more than happy to give my perspective. Cheers Craig
  5. Thanks Matt, Just a bit of advice, have a look at the clients that visit to get a real sense of how the piece looks on a real client. Or even ask to see/talk with a client to judge for yourself. The consultant will always look great as a he has a stylist at his disposal at any time of the day. Good luck. Craig.
  6. Hi Matt - Good luck with your transition. I'd be interested to know how you get on with World Hair Systems. Cheers. Craig.
  7. Hey Matt, I guess that I am a bit biased, but I am 29 and completely bald under the piece and if it wasn't for hairpieces, i don't quite know how different my life would have been. I reckon in the past 7 years the quality has improved a LOT and they're undetectable to most people. Although from my experience, other guys who wear will be able to tell , however they are unlikely to tell anyone for exposing their secret. It's the ex wearers you have to worry about (a story for another time) I even played football in mine. Yes the maintenance is a hassle but all in all I’m glad I did it. Cheers Craig
  8. Hey Matt, I started out with stand by stand thinking it would be like adding to my existing hair and thickened it up and ended up having my head shave and a hairpiece glued on. I image they used the term to avoid prospective clients getting clued up on the subject. Are you currently wearing a hairpiece or will this be your first? Cheers, Craig
  9. Hi Matt, I’ve never been to world Hair systems, however I understand they are part of Ashley and Martin. I started out at advanced hair studio in south Melbourne at the age of 22 and got my first unit. At the time I didn’t even know what a hairpiece was and next thing I knew I was wearing one! I made the transition to a hair piece from concealers, making the transition pretty smooth. I have to say there are a lot of complaints about AHS and I have to agree, but they did the job for me when I needed it most and based on my (long) time waiting for a refusion there was also a lot of other young guys using their services. The cost of AHS were escalating and I did some research online and found a place called BA hair apparent were I was a client for a couple of years. However things went a bit crazy at BA and I ended up geting my units from coolpiece. Toplace and Northwest lace appear to be good if you want to go DIY. You just need to find a stylist to do the cut in and trims when you real hair grows. Also you will need to find an appropriate glue and tape regime that suits your body chemistry to maintain a strong bond that suits your lifestyle and sporting activity.
  10. Hi Matt, From my experience, I would suggest Precision Hair Plus as a good choice. They have a studio in Melbourne City, which is great to have a unit cut in and styled. Have had some experience with other in Australia, let me know if you are interested. Cheers Craig.
