Thank you sir! I'm excited.I'd say that you are looking at a dramatic change even knowing tha you'll need another pass. Congratulations on this first phase of your journey. -
Just to add we focused on the frontal half and a little of the hairline.

Yes I do runs in the family luckily. I feel all the prickly hairs coming through, but I'm hoping there's a lot more to come considering it's only been 3 months. As has been said before, there's a lot of area to cover for less than 4000 grafts - but it is coming along nicely.Do you have thick hair on the donor area?

Thanks. 2nd surgery down the road for sure, but just at 3 months which is really nothing...... impressed so far. That's not a lot of grafts for that size area but big enough for one session I suppose.Looking really good for 3 months. I've seen some really nice results from Panine. Hope yours is another.
Good growing. Please keep us updated....

It's been a while since I've been on here, but I just wanted to post my 3 month update. I know growing hasn't really took a toll yet but some of the tranplanted hairs I think luckily stayed. Dr. Panine 3700 grafts. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks! The 3 month pics were taken with a smartphone that has a very bright LED flash.

It's nearly impossible to achieve your pre loss days. Do more research. It's the best decision I've ever made, but getting back to where you were when you were 16 is just not possible yet...

So how long did it take for the redness of the scar to go away. It's been 3 weeks since surgery??
-
Hey guys,
So I'm almost 2 weeks post op. How much pressure should I be using at this point while shampooing? There's some scabbing going on. Should I apply more pressure when shampooing? Currently I'm GENTLY shampooing in a circular motion.

Good luck in your recovery!
Thanks! Looking forward to it!

Hi Guys,
Thought I would post a couple pics before and after. I'm 4 days post op feel good. We didn't have to do to much with the hairline, just bulk it up! The crown will be addressed in Rd. 2 just too much area to cover with 1 procedure. Everything looks great. Dr. Panine and his staff are excellent! Feedback would be appreciated. Thx. Alot of hairloss to be addressed, but the front half should look very nice after the 1 yr mark. Sorry the Pre Op pic is a little blurry.

I had my fourth procedure on 27 Jan 12. Here is my before taken Nov 2011 and then how I looked on 25 Feb 12. This demonstrates shock loss. No worries, it grows back
Thx for the reply. So if this does happen it is temporary? So basically the implanted hairs could and will fall out? The actual follicle stays healthy and hair growth will come?

Hey Guys,
Can someone please explain to me this whole "shockloss" talk? How common is it? Is there a way to prevent it? Is it permanent? HT scheduled for near future worried about this. Please educate me on this!
Thanks

Personally I asked for overall coverage for my operation as I am a Norwood 5a. You seem to be a Norwood 6. So I would ask for light coverage on the crown and then you can concentrate on it for round two like I will be doing. I had 4703 grafts.
I think that's better than just doing the first half and leaving the crown completely for the first operation.
I'd use propecia and Rogaine foam as you have some native hair you would want to keep for as long as possible.
I agree, you need at least 3500 plus for round one. If he can hit 4500 grafts then great as you will eventually need 6k plus to have a decent result & density to style it
Yeah me and Dr. Panine will get a nice game plan together. We'll see what we come up with.

time2throwoutthehatz,
Congratulations on your upcoming hair transplant with Dr. Panine. He's got a lot of fans here and with reason. Dr. Panine regularly produces impressive and natural looking results.
How many grafts are you planning?
Hi there,
Well we are starting at 3000-3500 grafts hoping he can definitely be more on the 3500+ side. Hoping for a nice result. Understanding a 2nd op will be needed for what I would like to achieve. I'm hoping to see good results from the 1st op. Any advice?

I am one of if not the biggest fan of Dr. Panine. 3000-3500 will take care of the frontal half of your scalp. The rear half will take a second session. Dr. Panine is great at placing grafts at the perfect location to get great coverage. Depending upon how many grafts you get from the first surgery to the last will reflect on your last surgery. Some people are only good for 6000, while some can go 10-11,000 grafts. Your pics don't show everything clearly, so noone on here can really give you a rough estimate.
Have you had an actual face to face consultation with Dr. Panine?
Yes sir! Great guy! HT scheduled for Apr. 24 2012. Can't wait! Have you met with Dr. Panine?
-
I agree, you'd need 6k plus over a couple of ops or one op if you have the laxity.
Yeah guys not expecting a full head of hair after my first procedure or ever. Just was wondering if I could achieve descent coverage? A good result?

Hello,
Just wanted to say hello to everyone as I just joined the community. I have a scheduled HT scheduled with Dr. Panine out here in Chicago. I've been doing research on this topic for about 8 years. I'm finally completely ready. I had my first consultation with Bosley who I see does not have the best reviews at about 23 yrs old and did not go through with it. I'm 30 years old now and cannot wait. Any advice tips. Was also thinking Dr. Konior, but felt very comfortable with Stuart and the consultation, and after seeing alot of Dr. Panine's work very impressed. Any advice, suggestions what to expect. I would appreciate it.
Thanks
