  4. Hello all, 11,days tomorrow and I'm getting my staples out. I'd like to know opinions on optimum sleeping conditions post transplant staple removal. I need to start sleeping again but I also want to make sure that I do the best thing for the grafts and making sure I do not jeopardize them in anyway. I know many drs have different post removal schedules, I'd like to hear yours as well as about brushing and using gels etc etc. I kept all my hair so it would hide the transplant and I usually blow dry daily and use mousse or gel. HVe not done anything since surgery but need to slowly get back to normal. Thanks for feedback
  5. The back looks back to norm but the sides still look thin, im guessing that its because of the timeframe being only 65 days. seams similar to what you had at the start. Are you on meds? Gl and grow quickly
  6. Hello, Any similar experience? I've been following protocall and staples Really feeling better daily. Day 4,and 5 went back to work and stayed up late, have not slept good last 2,nights. Never took meds other than 2 Tylenol before bed, sleeping on 2 pillows with traveler around the neck same as1st night. Feels like things are tighter and more sensjtive . the hair hurts back there but does not feel hot to touch. Going to take my first shower and wash my hair since surgery. Hope this is just healing. Can't wait to get these out on Saturday. Any similar thoughts or issues? Thx

  10. To go back to sleeping flat and on just 1,pillow, after surgery? Is it day 5 or 6 when we don't have to worry about loosing the grafts. I'm a side sleeper and did my temples so being extra careful. Also what about laying facing down with forehead in the memory pillow? Rogaine can start after the 5th day I assume after I wash my hair for the first time in the normal way duringba shower? The for input
  11. Thanks for the info. What dose are you on? I know it varies but I'm taking 1.25,mg daily. I think I'll go for the 6 months and then see what happens
  12. I'd like to hear any input on this drug. Reading many posts some say it must be taken. I've read that on many sights the negative effects can far out weigh the positives, I'm referring to the issue with decreased libido and erection issues. I tried myself 18 months ago and feel that this is what happened to me but it also could have been a very stressful time in life for me as well. I started reading and it scared me off the drug. I just did my transplant and my surgeon says very important I do it even for 6 months. Like to hear other stories...... Thanks guys
  13. Hello all, Been doing Lot of reading trying to find the best medication regime for me now that I've completed surgery. I've never really used anything aside from a short stint in finisteride but I have negative feeling about the potential side effects on libido etc. Here is what I'm thinking And would input from the experts as well as what works for you. 1.25 mg finisteride every other day Minoxodil foil once daily before bed 5000mcg biotin to speed up growth Msm - 1500,mg daily although no proof that this works, using with glucosamine will oil up my joints so serve a dual purpose. Thanks for your input
  14. have not taken any pain meds though, so im hoping thats a good sign

  16. Boy you are right. last night i was throwing up until midnight and only with the help of 2 oxy and 1 diazepam was i able to sleep until 7. ill take it i guess but head really hurt on top, incision hurts more this morning and less on top Any ideas on how best to sleep, using that pillow is ok but i did my temples as well so I Cannot turn on my side either. can i use a softer pillow and still put the incision on the bed? almost like a neck prop? 3332 graft 6596 hairs.
  17. how do you feel at 2 months out? Would you go through it again? Sounds like you are sensitive. How long did it take you to sleep normally again, where your head felt back to normal?
  18. scooter thank you. I see your on day 6, what has been the worst part? How do you feel now? Back to work? What are the peas for? Can you post more photos? I was curious pre and post op looks like for 3000 grafts like I am getting. thanks again
  19. Hello All, I am going in tomorrow for 3000-3500 fut tomorrow am. Im excited and funny thing, the thing that is stressing me the most (other than the potential shock loss) is how will i sleep for the first 4-5 days? I am a super light sleeper and would love to hear any and all suggestions to get comfy and sleep. Any other words of wisdom also appreciated. Thank you
  20. Thanks for the quick replies, all responses are appreciated. Keep em coming
  21. Hello all, I have been lurking in the background on this board for several months and would like to thank all the people that share there experiences with us. I have considered doing a FUT for over a year now but never met the right DR and the circumstances were always wrong. I have decided to go forward with DR. Mohebi in Encino ca on we'd this coming week. Although I have read through numerous posts I would still like to ask advice of some experts. My questions are as follows: My biggest concern is the sleeping after thensurgery, l am a very light sleeper and then smallest thing will keep me awake. How long will this be an issue ? How many Days will I have to sleep in that seated position? How long will it truly be uncomfortable? I have sensitive skin and fear that I may bruise or remain red for a long period of time after surgery, any suggestions? I have had several surgeries in the past which have left scarring, I keloid quite a bit (this is like ingrown pimples that remain under the skin) and even after a surgery I had 8 yes ago I go once a yr to the dermatologist for an injection to flatten out the keloid. I don't want the strip scar to get bumpy and have a deformed kind of head. Anyone have issue with there scar? I wear my hair longer at this point and prefer toncontinue doing this, I have discussed with dr mohebi and he hasbagreed not to cut ,y hair prior to surgery, I am thinking this will hide a lot of the redness etc etc. I do not reallyfear the injections as I know they affect people differently and I seem ton have a high pain tolerance but is there anything else to consider pre or post surgery to remedy any possible 'discomfort'? I will be getting 3500 grafts, mainly in the frontal hairline trying to bring my hairline down an inch, I have receded enough over the years so that I feel like my forehead has become a small ski slope . After my initial consult with dr M, I started propecia as he requested and will continue this regime for another 6-8 months postoperative to reduce potential shock loss. Any additional thoughts, ideas, suggestions to improve my experience? This would be much appreciated from all the veterans that inhabit this site. Thank you and happy growing Pitbull
