Hi guys
Stayed away from the forum for good 8 months to avoid anxiety. I have attached my 8 month pics for your review. Just to remind - My main aim to go for HT was to fill up the sides. There were many who said I had a head full of hair and advised me against it but the sides and temples were playing on my mind. Some work on the front was needed to blend in the work on sides as advised by SMG.
Would appreciate your feedback guys. You can see my pictures before HT here as well - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/Rem/albums/2573
Thanks!

To attack a guy like Mickey and that too personally, is a classless act and not to mention an attempt to derail the thread.
I applaud Bill's decision to NOT lock this thread.

Hi Wylie,
Simply, amazing!!! Instead of showing some common courtesy and apologizing for a totally false, baseless and irresponsible accusation against a reputed HT Surgeon, you have chosen to charm me with your sarcasm.
I have no interest in disrupting your "precious thread". I was not trying to impress anyone with my “Masters” degree but you did make a derogatory comment about “Dr. Bhatti not having the sense to employ people that can speak/write proper English”. I was just responding to that misguided comment.
As far as your other sarcastic comment about me “being proud of myself” is concerned, yes, I am proud of myself. Not because I have a Master’s degree but because I do not make any offensive/insulting comments against anyone and if I do mess up, I have no ego issues with owning up to my mistake and apologizing.
Thank you,
California.
Well said.

Experts have spoken...not those 3 man.

Nick, I totally hear you...uneven end result can be a nightmarish situation (I am myself nervous thinking about an uneven outcome).....but to be really honest it is not looking bad or odd. At this stage, there is a big improvement in your appearance and I am sure it would look even more better if the densities on either side match but when I looked at the pics first time I did not see a huge difference b/w the sides.....let me say it this way "nothing jumped out as unusual" rather I was happy to see your hair growth. I know this period is unnerving for you and I will go through it myself very soon but man we have no other option than to hang in there.
-
You are doing your research a bit backwards. Consult with each doctor first, then post some pictures on here with what each recommended. Otherwise you simply have members taking guesses.
Very true. Talk with them first, see who you can work with, see who you feel confident about in terms of approach they recommend. Man, you will feel a world of a difference after talking to docs and their reps. Do not discount the fact that some docs might even "pass" on you for some reason....personal experience (some years back H&W did not take me up and they were right!).

Bill,
In every way this forum is great. Well maintained, well encouraged, well disciplined, abundance of resources. I have only once visited another forum and that too when Jenna sought my permission to post my case on that forum. But what has kept me hooked to the forum is the freedom of speech with which members are allowed to air their views.....no undue censorship.
Freedom of speech is priceless and most attractive to people. People love to flock to places where they can be heard....at the least heard.....things may not go their way but they hang in there with a hope. Beauty of democracy and freedom. The moment the freedom of speech is snubbed, people feel alienated and suffocated.
Let it run its course and if it has already, it will fade away on its own. I would urge you to reconsider your decision to lock this thread.

I remember your case. Best of luck buddy.
Is it with Dr. Ron or Dr. Paul?

If HG asked for an "aggressive hairline", Dr. Umar need not necessary comply with it. It is expected of Dr. Umar to guide him that an aggressive approach is not the best approach knowing that future hair loss is unpredictable. Dr. Umar could have passed on him if HG did not agree with his approach.
No doubt Dr. Umar has hit many home runs, but this one does not seem to be one.
-
One of the things I have observed over time about Dr. Umar is the presentation of his work - very well lit pictures and detailed videos. Can we see at the least see some pre-op/post op pics from Dr. Umar's clinic in this case please.
-
does that means mickey you are injecting these surgeons and saying against australian doc
Fueonly, are you questioning the credentials of Mickey???!!! Are you comparing yourself to him?!! You've lost it man.....
-
Agree with Mickey, let's not assume anything and let's stay away from the blame game until all the facts, pictures and details are out.
-
This is turning into a mockery. I do not understand the delay in posting immediate pre-op and post-op pictures.
"A picture is worth a thousand words".
-
Denny, you are a helpful guy and I hope better luck comes your way soon.
-
No doubt Turkey is a good option.
-
My friend I understand your sentiment about the cost....I felt the pain of paying $7 per graft and I so wish it was cheaper but cost can not be the sole criterion of selecting a clinic.
Dr. Bhatti is producing a lot of work and best of luck to him as that would turn FUE rates competitive in the market.

dr charles is absolutely right dr charles i always said if you read my post
lot of patients cant afford HT in US and if they do they have to go for more sessions and as their loss is so much they need more grafts
Dr charles i said dr bhati bcz their are other surgeons too in india
what i like is bhati has posted lot of results and lot lot of people from US are going to bhati
he got lot of patients from this HT forum
dr charles you should be proUd of US and i am sure you are bcz i always say MOST research and advancement has its invention in US
as far i think india has surgeons like bhati but if you see india is trying to develop and it is because of western influences.
Western influence is very instrumental in getting india and other countries also move forward with time and advancement
fueonly, Do you work for Dr. Bhatti?

Dr. Hakan, you are inching towards rockstar status!

Guys,
Physicians don't always follow every forum topic. Thus, it sometimes requires one of us to contact a physician to notify them asking for them to reply. I have asked Blake to notify and contact Dr. Mwamba to post a reply on this topic.
Thanks,
Bill
Cool! Hope it is true.....

Nobody is saying we can't voice out opinions all I was saying is that 2 weeks ten had sent me personal messages asking which way to go and my views in general.
I never asked you any FUT vs FUE question. We exchanged 2 messages when I asked you about your views on ARTAS and Dr. P Shapiro as a FUE surgeon. I appreciate your feedback and best wishes.
-
I have always wanted FUE and I will always suggest FUE and this is based on loads of homework I did.
Strip is barbaric in my opinion and your rant does not change my position. Leave to it the people who read the forum to decide who is a SME or not.
Act mature and resist making personal attacks.
-
FUT/strip is barbaric.

There has not been much activity in the future medical treatments forum, wondering if you all have seen or read anything. Let's keep our fingers crossed about what is to come. I have been hoping for a cure magic treatment for 20 years (when I started worrying about it). We put a Rover on Mars man. How about some follicular help?
I totally echo your thoughts......we might end up putting human beings on Mars in a couple of years!! this is just disheartening that a cure is still not on the anvil......
-
Dr. Cooley your work and research has always impressed me.
In regards to FUE, I know you had acquired ARTAS.....how's FUE work coming along?

hsrp10, appreciate the feedback. You are right, can not expect "wow" transformation and neither did I go for HT FUE expecting one. I was just looking to fill up my barren right side primarily. It was bugging me.
As of now, I don't think right side has filled up and the hair even after 8 months seem "stray"/directionless. So I won't say I am happy.
Procedure was done with the motorized/SAFE not by ARTAS.
