I also understand why you reply like that. For me Rogaine was also a savior, it worked quite well and my hair was staying on my head. After I experienced the difficulties I tried blaming it on everything else but minox. At the end I did some research in medical databases and peer reviewed journals since I have a strong academic background and I found a number of relevant articles that point towards negative health consequences associated to topical minox use.
Topical minoxidil: cardiac effects in bald man.
FH Leenen, DL Smith… - British journal of clinical …, 1988 - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Minoxidil: an underused vasodilator for resistant or severe hypertension
Safety of topical minoxidil solution: a one-year, prospective, observational study
And some more recent studies:
Long-term follow-up of men with male pattern baldness treated with topical minoxidil
All these Studies show that minox has cardiac effects namely a significant increase in LVM and this fact alone should induce people to think twice about using this stuff.
On a cautionary note I leave you all to it. I am not saying you should not use it just merely stating what is out there and what effects are possible. After all, minox is no herbal component and all medications applied long-term will have some effect on our bodies.
