  1. It's been a long time since I've been back here . This pic was taken about 3 years after my transplant (4500 follicles ). It turned out better than I ever imagined .
  2. I looked at your vids and your hairloss is minimal compared to mine (I had over 4500 grafts . You do however look like you have very thick hair which will work to your advantage. How it actaully works with Dr. Hernandez is she does the strip harvest from the back of your head and whatever is there she will transfer to the top of your head . Now of course she will estimate the size of strip needed to harvest but it will not be exact so she will make sure that there will be at least 2500 grafts mimimum .In reality with your thickness hair you should have no problem .and will probably wind up with more in the end . My hair is also very thick and dense like yours and Dr. Hernandez said my hair density was double that of the average person (most people are closer to 20 per mm and she said my density was double that at about 40 . So from my strip they were able to extract just over 4500 grafts of which many are double or triple follicles as well , The single hair follicles are used for the very front hairline which is how they grow naturaly so it keeps your hairline looking natural when it is done . They biggest concern with you is you are only 25 so you may continue to have hairloss for many years to come ? So if you do the procedure now you may need to go back as your hairloss continues . There are already other procedures available that do no requre strip harvesting .A machine extracts individual follicles from the back of you head without cutting out a strip . Of course they are not using these brand new techniques in Tijuana (yet). But for someone like you who may need a few updates as you age it might be better to wait until this new technique is used south of the border .It is done here in Vegas but you will pay a lot more than $2500. Another option could be to use the strip technique for now and any further updates you need 5 or 10 years down the road can be done with the new neograft technique which I think will be in wide use by then or perhaps a entire new process will be invented by then . If you research PRP (platelet rich plasma injections )that is very promising as well and does not reqire any surgery . this is an area that may solve the hairloss problem all together ? and is only about 800 to $1000 dollars per treatment here in the US ,certianly much cheaper in Mexico . Ask DR Hernandez at Neopel about it . She is familiar with the procedure and performs it .However while the method is extremely successful has to be repeated once a year . Which is not that bad . Anyhow that will give you plenty to think about . If you want to talk to me on the phone I will be happy to . Give me your e-mail and I'll send you my phone number . cheers
  3. I am originally from Vancouver as well .Now live in Vegas .I'd be glad to talk with you. And I am not a spammer in reply to the skeptic. It is true that Dr. Hernandez (NEOPEL)website is lacking .She nor her staff are marketing wizzes .To my surprise on her computer in her office she has tons of pictures and results from 100's of partients including her own husband . Why she has not put them on her website is beyond me . My wife has her own Marketing company . (Muir Martketing) and has made some Suggestions to her and may actually do some marketing for her here in the US as well as improve on her website. She said that 80% of her business is from the US and when I booked my procedure she only had a few open dates available a few months forward. So I suspect she is doing very well despite her poor online presence . She did however mention that her Husband ( a general practitioner) is currently in training in San Diego for the transplant procedure and they are planning on working together and expanding the business. She said he can make more money doing that than he currently makes with his general practice checking people with the flu (her words). And I couldn't agree more with the ingnorance of people thinking if its not done in the US its crap. That is just nonsense. There are a ton of Plastic surgeons that do face lifts , lipo and dentists and a huge number of people access these services at a quater of the price ,most of them US citizens. Tijuana as well as a few other border towns cater heavily to what they call medical tourism. There were a couple of American women at the same hotel as me that had just had facelifts and the kid at the star bucks when he heard my wifes accent automatically asked if she was there for a "procedure" . My wife told him no it was her husband and he automatically replied oh your husband is bald. I wasn't there but my wife thought it was quite funny. The doctors and work is as good as anywhere and they cater heavily to foreighners . Another place they say has the best plastic surgions in the world is Brazil . These people are making a lot of money charging considerably less than the US ,Canada or Europe. and are living quite nice lifestyles with maids and nannys . So again don't let these cheap prices fool you .This is big business and repeat business . I personally know quite a few Americans who utilize all these services on a regular basis. My wife even had a few Botox injections while she was waiting for them to finish my head . I will include pics at a later date and they may even wind up on the Neopel website in the future . Any nay sayers don't hurt my feelings a bit. I'm just trying to help a few interested parties out with some info . If you'd rather spend your cash elswhere. I realy don't care Cheers.
  4. I Just came back from Getting 4500 grafts at Neopel . I flew into the San Diego airport where someone was waiting to pick me up and take me to the Neopel clinic in Tijuana.(about a 20 minute ride). They made reservations for me at the Lucerna Hotel and also paid for one night . My wife and I paid a couple extra nights to see some sights and enjoy some fantastic dining at nearby restaurants with top notch service and food . DR. Gabriela Hernandez and her staff were complete profesionals and explained the procedure thoroughly after they picked me up the morning of the procedure from my hotel. She now charges a flat rate of $2800 reguardless of the amount of work you need .She will harvest as much hair as possible to meet your requirements and transplant it . Make no mistake .She is a talented profesional along with her long time staff which she proudly announces have been with her since the beginning. They are friendly ,speak very good english and made me very comfortable throughout the entire procedure. After the procedure all the necessary medications and antibioics were supplied and explained before returning me to my Hotel. The next morning I was again picked up from my Hotel and driven back to the San Diego airport for my return flight home .The entire procees was made very simple and effortless and all aspects of the journey and my return were taken care of . Don't let the low price fool you .This is a top rate clinic with top notch work by and extremely skilled Doctor and a well trained staff . I would also like to add that a Local Las Vegas Doctor (my home residence) quoted me as needing about 3000 grafts at a charge of $13000 US . I had this assesment at his office and he inspected my balding patterns. The Total trip to Neopel ,including airfare, two extra nights in the hotel and 5 or 6 meals in some fantastic 4 and 5 star restaurants ,not to mention the fantastic service and general warmth I recieved from the Mexican People . and 4500 grafts came to about $3400 and was a very enjoyable experience. This was an absolute no brainer . DR. Gabriela Hernandez was well versed in single folicular staggered hairlines for the best possible and most natural looking results possible. Anyone thinking of going to Neopel don't hesitate you won't be disappointed .I plan to take some pictures and will post my before middle and end pictures after one year . If you have any further questions I will be glad to answer them . cheers
