I'am 3 weeks post op today and really haven't noticed any shedding of the new grafts. Should I consider this a good sign, or is it to early to tell. I have been taking propecia for now for 5 + years, could this have reduced shedding of the new grafts?

I have been using rogaine in the crown for years and have received grafts in the front 3 weeks ago. Today I started applying rogaine in the front as well. Can I discontinue the use of rogaine in the front once growth has initiaded, say 3-4 months from now? Since the new hairs are not programmed to fall out it should not be an issue, right? Thanks

What are your thoughts on using Rogaine 3 weeks post op? Has anyone experienced faster growth when using this product? Rumor has it that it may shorten the resting phase, but no studies have been done proving this. Just curious how many people saw a benefit using Rogaine post op. Thanks

Im two weeks out and have kept almost all my grafts thus far. Although, I still have many months to go before I start seeing progress, can I determine if enough grafts were applied to the recipient area. I understand they are short and thin and will get thicker down the road but just a little paranoid if I will was given enough coverage. Is there anyway to tell at this stage in the game? Thanks

Hi, I'm 7 days posy op and have been noticing bruising on my neck. I have no pain and almost looks like broken blood vessels. Does any one know if this is common and will go away? Thank you

Thanks guys for your post. I agree with your both, I'm used to pushing the envelope a bit, but will refrain for another week and start with a little cardio on day 14. I think a month is a good start time to resume high rep workouts.

When do you guys suggest it's safe to return to the gym without having to worry. My feeling on the whole gym issue, is even if the scar did stretch it's really never going to visible to anyone because of my existing hair covering the area. But I do want to play it safe.

Going to do light cardio and some light isolated movements. If I feel any type of strain I can delay weight lifting. Do you guys feel the 1 month you're pretty good to go full force or close to it?

I'm 6 days post op from a 2,200 procedure. The recovery is not as bad as I expected. Although, I'm still tender in the donor site I'm going to test the gym out tomorrow for a light work out. Some scabbing has flaked off but I have a few clumps still left. It's really going to be depressing to see these little hairs shed in 2-3 weeks. Trying to remain positive but the next few months are going to suck.

So many different opinions on how long to take off from the gym after an ht. I feel most doctors generally want to play it ultra conservative, while a few feel 7-10 days after the ht is sufficient healing time. I have my ht in 3 weeks and hope to return to the gym at the 10 day mark. I don't see the big issue here as long as you use moderate weight with good firm. I can understand if your lifting heavy and are using poor form how that may stretch the donor scar but guys taking 3-6 months off seems uneccesary. Anyone return to the gym at the 10 day mark or before? Thanks

Hair Fiber Application After Procedure

I'm getting 2,200 grafts in January and can only take off 4 days of work. I have a descent amount of coverage when I push my hair foward. I'm Trying to keep this as low key as possible. Does any one know how soon I begin to use hair fibers to help me camoflauge the procedure with out harming the grafts? I have been told by my doctors rep after 4 days. Thanks -

Thanks for everyone's responses. I have Scheduled a consultation with Epstein and dorin next week and let you all know the outcome. I'm really not to concerned with epsteins divorce from this site. He is on other similar hair forums such as this one. I did question one of his employees about this and he told me that it was cost related. Which I find hard to believe.

I'm looking for the best surgeon in the New York area. I have scheduled an appointment to meet with Jeffrey Epstein next week but have also heard very positive reviews about Robert Dorin/Robert True and Alan Feller. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding who is the best guy for the job? All three of these doctors seen to be some of the top Docs in the industry today. My plan is to get my procedure done in Febuary and could really use any feedback anyone has. I'm planning on meeting with all three of these doctors before January. Thank you
