  1. Hey Mike, how are you? Welcome to the site! After consulting with the doctor (or doctors) they will tell you your best option (FUE, FUT, etc). You're best bet is talking to several of the docs, preferably from this site, and see what options you receive. Don't rush into anything as it is your head on the line! I went with Dr. Dorin in NYC. The initial consult was painless and all online. I sent pics via e-mail, and then did a phone consult. You can even do a SKYPE consult if you so choose. After the procedure, I was extremely pleased with their work and I highly recommend them. Best of luck to you! Keep us posted!
  2. Hi Amthello, welcome to the site! I'm new as well. I just had my first transplant on Nov 29, 2011. Feel free to view my profile to see my before and immediate post op photos. You're head won't be glamorous right afterwards but in the long run, with a successful surgery, it will be well worth it. I believe everybody has the same feelings. If you weren't nervous I would think something might be wrong with you! This site has a ton of great information. In fact, it's how I found my doc, Dr. Dorin in NYC. Top Notch and highly praised! That settled my nerves somewhat but I was still apprehensive about someone poking holes in my head. Either way, best of luck to you and please keep us posted on your story! Cheers.
  3. It looks like some have fallen out but some are still lingering around. The pinkness is pretty much gone too, I'm happy about that. Now I just gotta stop looking in the mirror everyday waiting to see new hair.
  4. Oh, and for those that are curious to see my journey so far, I have pre-op, immediate post op, and these pics here in my albums under my profile. Best of luck to all! I love this site!! 8)
  5. Hey Bill! Thanks for encouraging words! I'll be sure to keep everyone updated. Still can't believe I took the plunge. And thanks BadBeat! I'm happy with it myself. Cheers!

  13. Hey one and all! Thought I'd post some pics following my procedure with Dr. Dorin on 29 Nov. I think things are progressing nicely. My wife took the pics but hopefully you can get a general idea of how things are coming along. What do you think? Happy Growing! Jason
  14. He did indeed explain everything and I was pretty sure he had told me that. That being said, I wanted to make sure that was the case. I've been on graveyard shifts the past week. I blame the zombie hours for my lack of my remembering. Thanks again for the peace of mind guys!
  15. Cant Decide and orlhair1, thanks so much for putting my mind at ease! I was 99.9% sure this was the case, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks again for the replies, cheers!
  16. This might sound like a silly question but I want to make sure I'm clear. I had my HT on 29 Nov 2011 and everything is going great! A few days later, give or take, the crusts formed and shortly after that they started to fall out as they are supposed to. At least I think it was just the crusts and not the grafts. I noticed that when I would gently comb my hair or run my fingers through it, that sometimes the crusts would fall out and little hairs would be in them. I want to make sure that these are NOT the grafts falling out. I didn't think anything of this until recently. Just want to make sure everything is normal. My head looks fine now with just a little bit of pinkness. Thanks for taking the time to read this! Hope everyone had a Happy New Year.
  17. Thank you! I plan on taking some photos in the next few days to show the progress thus far (roughly 30 days after the procedure). Everything has healed and everything looks 'normal' for now. I hope to get the pics up on here sometime next week.
  18. So I took the plunge and I got a HT! I decided to go with Dr. Dorin in NYC. I am very pleased so far. I've also started Rogaine and Propecia. 2480 Grafts 567 - 1s 1673 - 2s 240 - 3s I've posted a few pics here but I've also updated my profile with some more info and a few more before and after pics. So here's to a fuller head of hair! Please comment or ask any questions if you have any. Thanks and good luck to everyone here and a prosperous New Year to all. Jason
