  1. Thanks for the advice guys. I had a look at Bucksred's album and it looks like he had pretty server scabbing as late as 12 days post op. Is that a common theme?
  2. Its funny how doc's try and sell you on a one week recovery time. I'm only 26 and I still have the majority of my hair behind my earline (thank proscar), but the front is almost gone. I hate the way it looks and makes me self conscious. I've never tried having a clipper cut down to a 1, maybe that is something I should do before booking an appointment. Really didn't realise it would be so visible for so long. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
  3. Hey All, I'm thinking of getting a HT. Just wondering what should be expected post op (ie swelling, bruising, ect)? How long was it until the HT wasn't noticeable? I've spoken to a couple of docs and they have recommended 2000 grafts at the front. I need to take time off from work to get the op and don't have much leave. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. The Alldaychemist.com website appears significantly cheaper than the ukfinasteride.info website. Are there any differences between; finasteride, proscar and propecia? I'm currently taking Finasteride tablets and have been for the last 3 years. Just out of interest are these tablets safe to take long term? Thanks for your help.
  5. Hi All, I've been taking Propecia for the 4 years and it has really helped stop my hair loss. The front of head has continued to recede but I have lost little hair behind my ear line. I recently moved to the UK from Australia and was wondering where to source the medication. Previously my GP in Australia would prescribe it to me but I'm not sure how it works in the UK. Could someone recommend a good and safe website I can purchase Propecia from? Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks Jessie...I had a look at the docs recommended by mars and they seem to consult all over Europe. Unfortunately I missed one with Dr. Mwamba. I have attached some pics. Does anyone know how many grafts I would require? And the approximate cost of such a procedure? I know the pictures aren't perfect and it would only be a guesstimate. Thanks for all your help.
  7. Hi, I'm in my mid 20s and started losing my hair at the age of 19. I have lost a significant amount of hair at the front and was thinning out on top. 3-4 years ago I saw a hair transplant doctor in Australia and he prescribed the use of Rogaine and Proscar tablets. The Proscar tablets has worked well and my hair loss is largely contained to the frontal area. I have attached some photos for review. I am now seriously considering going ahead with a transplant. I recently moved to the UK and was wondering if anyone could recommend a doctor to have a consultation with. I'm not sure if I'm better off having a op in the UK or flying elsewhere. I've been recommended the following docs in Belgium on this forum; bisanga, feriduini, mwamba. However I still wish to consult with a London based doctor. I have seen a Groupon sale for the London Hair Transplant Clinic I believe this is where Rooney got his done. Are they worth a consult? Does anyone know the approximate cost of 1000 grafts in the UK and how does that compare to the US or Belgium. I would like to do the FUE procedure. I have attached a photo of my hair loss. Also I was wondering what can a expect after surgery and how long would it take for me to recover to the point that no one at work would notice that I had an operation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Thanks for that advice but why do you say that I shouldn't get the procedure done by a UK doc? Would you know if there is substantial price difference between UK, Belgium and US docs?
  9. Thanks for your help its great hearing other people experiences.....I might go have a catch with a London based Doc. Does anyone have any recommendations?
