  1. Thanks, guys! I'll examine the list and make some contacts! If I take the plunge and get a transplant, I'll report my results.
  2. No advice, anybody? I'd hate to get a lousy eyebrow transplant, and end up looking even nuttier than I already do.
  3. I'm an SF native, been living here for decades. It's changed -- much less of a neighborly, "small town" vibe. Fewer quaint mom & pop-type shops, more upscale and boutique-y. The main difference is that it's now very expensive, and there are far fewer families and kids. It's still a great city, but the character has definitely changed. If you're young, like to party & spend dough, and in no rush to raise a family, you'll probably like it fine here. Anyway, welcome to SF!
  4. Hi Goldbergjy, Hopefully you get email notifications when someone posts in your thread and you will read this, as your thread is rather old! I'm in Northern California, but would travel to LA for the right eyebrow transplant expert. Did you find someone good? I'd love to hear about and learn from your experience.
  5. Hi all, I'm a 45 year old man with eyebrow loss. My doctor says my thyroid levels, etc. are normal, and suspects that the cause is alopecia. I'm considering a transplant, and hope someone on this forum can suggest a good doctor in Northern California. Also, I'd prefer not to use my scalp as the donor site. I've read scary stories about "shock loss," and the last thing I need is hair loss to my scalp as well as my eyebrows. Plus, my scalp hair is quite curly, and I'm not sure it would behave properly on my brows! I know it sounds odd, but maybe armpit hair would be an option (my armpit hair is coarse, but straight). The top eyebrow transplant surgeon searchable by Google is Dr. Epstein. For all I know, he does exceptional work (his website is certainly impressive), but I'd be reassured if anyone here can vouch for the quality of his work.
  6. Hi all, I'm a 40 year old man. About 10 years ago I mysteriously lost most of my eyebrow hair. It has not grown back, and my doctor thinks it may be alopecia. I'm considering an eyebrow transplant. Can anyone advise me about this?
