This is with a completely shaved head from early February, around a #1 or might be even a #1/2 blade which is 1/16 inch. I am not sure if I could keep it this short because of density differences in the donor area. I will try it some time when I have a spare week that I won't be too often outdoors. =)

Sugar, your hair looks like its made a tremendous recovery from the mystery "thinning" that occurred after your first HT, congrats! Is there anyway to see the hairline with your hair combed up or back since you have changed your hairstyle and now comb it forward?
again, it looks great.
Hi LosAngeles (Go Kings!)
My hair is actually brushed up in the photos I posted on 1/28. I have a new picture on my phone of me with a #2 clip cut which is a 1/4 inch long. I will post that photo as soon as I get a chance, and my hair is too short to move so you can see what it looks like.

Happy for you champ, it looks great!
Thank you!

Great to see things were corrected and set for you with better framing and density. Sucks you had to go through it again but glad you got what you initially wanted. Very happy for you. Finally, you got some peace of mind. No more worries.
Hey Sean. I think I'm doing pretty well. I have a ton of gray hair lol but the hair line seems good. I can clipper my head with a #2 clippers and I have no visible differences in density from my native hairs. I often do that because I look way younger without the gray. I will post some pics over here next time I do.
How are you Sean?

Looks good. That is a lit of grafts but at your age I think that you can afford them. Are you on finasteride?
Yes, I have been on fin (brand propecia) since 1999-ish. I've had no sides.

wow
congratulations !! this is a fantastic result .
Thanks, Sirius =)

Sirius, you look awesome. The texture of your hair gives you a cool look too.
Do you color your hair, or it's naturally still the brown color?

jbrant, I don't really have a way to measure my final hairline at the moment, but it is definitely lower than the original. 1cm lower is my best guess.
My touch up procedure used 1000 grafts, but keep in mind they we're not only put in my existing grafted areas, many were put in areas of further recession.

@newhair I have only ever had FUE
@agent I have had I believe around 3700 grafts

Hey guys, just wanted to update that I am post op of my 2nd procedure, and I am very happy with my results. I have been able to cut my hair extremely short, and it appears as though I have a full head of hair. I love that I can hop out of the shower and just towel dry my hair and go. I normally put a tiny amount of pomace in the sides of my hair at the back, due to the very thick nature of my hair at the back. It gives me a little shine and prevents the sides from puffing out.
I'm really happy and grateful to Dr Rahal; to say my life has changed would be an understatement. Will update with pics soon.

I went to a Trichologist to see about my MPB. She asked about what supplements I take and had a list of things that as she said "can contribute to hair loss". I understood that to mean it doesn't cause hair loss but can speed it up but not in everyone. Whey protein isolate was one of them. She also sais that whey protein concentrate won't have the same effect as long as you don't take too much of it. I bought the help hair shake and have been using now for a few months. So far so good. I'm not sprouting heaps of hair but my hair does seem better with less shedding.
Your trichologist said whey isolate can cause hair loss? Yikes
Would you be so kind as to post the list of the things if you still have it?

I definitely noticed more hair falling on creatine, but I haven't noticed it since I began taking whey protein isolate a couple months ago. I take one scoop per day of ON 100% Gold Standard.
My muscles have gotten slightly bigger, but the most significant thing I've noticed it they've changed shape. I was getting blockier muscles before, and now they're leaner and look a lot more attractive.
I'll continue to monitor, but I haven't seen an issue yet.
One critical factor that I wonder about, is if whey users also were on Propecia and Rogaine. I am.

I've still been insisting on the brand name Propecia. It's more expensive, but I have never trusted generics. I used to take Wellbutrin for my ADHD, and in spite of the same ingredients, most of the generics were shit.

HI Alexio,
I wish all the best for you with your FUT. I will follow the thread here online closely.

Sugar, hope your doing great and your surgery went well. Wish you the best.
Thanks Sean. I hope all is going well with you also.

For all the people that have doubts about the condition of the first surgery of Sugar, I want to inform them that I've seen Sugar in Ottawa before doing the second transplant.
If I can say one word for his first hair transplant I can say AMAZING
And not only for my personal opinion, but for all the people 've seen him directly.
The work that has made Dr. Rahal in the first hair surgery was very very good, I think Sugar wanted the second hair transplant only for perfection, I wish I had the hair of Sugar in his first hair transplant
my personal compliment and wishes to Sugar for the second and final hair transplant
Thank you for the kind words, Alexio.
I was happy with my 12 months growth, but I was concerned about a couple of small areas.
I will be following your thread about your recent FUT, and wish the best for you in it.

If fin gave you sides, then Avodart will knock you on your ass! IMO, avodart is 10X stronger than fin.

Hi, LAhair, well no one can see my donor area if that is what you mean. I often cut the donor area about as short as #2 clipper. In many cases I have cut as short as #1 (1/8th inch) and no one can tell. I can tell if I look very closely under bright lights.
I think shorter than 1/8th inch is shaved, so it may be possible to see the difference in density? But I am not sure.
