  1. This is how my hair look now with concealer - 3 months post operation
  2. Dear Friends I am 3 months now since my last HT. I am considering my next operation around the end of this month (December - 2011) and have two choices: FUT with roughly 2,500 grafts in one session or FUE in two sessions each is +2,000 grafts = total is +4,000 grafts I am intending not to focus on my crown area and focus on my frontal area. Basicly enforcing exisiting hair grafts. 1) What is your opinion of growth so far? I still see some dead spots, should I expect any new growth later on? 2) Which one to go with FUT or FUE? 3) should I add some hair to my crown area, or totally neglect it? Your opinions please. 3. Aaron/ Corv.. Thank you guys, I agree 100% with what you said. Still wondering why such guys with so perfect hair are doing here . I guess we all, as human, have insatiable desire for more hair cover. Inistinct, I guess. I'll wait for a year, and post progress pictures here as it goes. will consult more doctors before anything else is done. No turning back as Aaron put it. Definetly will go for the maximum possible grafts next time. But is there a way to verify the number of grafts actually planted once the operation is done? How you can make sure the doctor is delivering what he promised? He could plant 2,000 and claim 5,000! Who'd know? Money was not a factor in my decision for a doctor. It just happened that my doctor was recommended by a friend of mine, and I went for it. I guess it was a mistake going for the first doctor, I don't feel much harm was done though. I work here in Saudi Arabia, but can travel if needed to US or Canada. Money is not an issue when it comes to delicate issues such as one's hair. I 'll take a dim truth everyday over a bright lie. Life is full of bright lies obscuring the dim truth.:cool::cool:
  4. Corv Great comment, agree with you. Thanks for the advice.
  5. Thank you Aaron; I saw your hair pictures before and after your procedures, it also look great, I guess you had very successful results. Wish my hair looked remotely like what you started with OK, now I know I need more. So what is the best way to do it? I cannot have an FUT till the donor area is completely healed. So should I go immidiately with FUE, or wait till the FUT procedure results are final - after 6 months? For FUE, can I use hair from my neck area? Thanks in advance. Flint
  6. Thank you Corvettester for the reply. I'll be happy with my bald head just stop reflecting light Man, your original hairline was ok, but your HT looks excellent. Lucky you. I had this procedure done with a doctor named Sameer Abo Ghoosh in Saudi Arabia. Most likely you don't know him. I realize my limited donor supply, but looking to get the best out of it. Just wondering, for the type of hair I have, what is a realistic number of grafts to ask for in next session? I didn't check with other doctors, and I went with the first doctor I met, it seemed he knew what he's doing. It paid around US$4,000 for this number of grafts 1,850. How does is it compare to the cost of procedures in USA with similar number of grafts? My doctor advised me not to try to cover my crown, just reinforce the frontal area. My basic questions: 1) I have dense hair around my neck, can this be utilized in an FUE procedure to add density to my hair? Cover light spots, etc... I don't care if they extract all of that hair around my neck and use it. As I need to shave it on regular basis, almost once a week. I have even more hair on my shoulders and chest if they need more 2) How many grafts should I ask for in my second procedure? I know I'll never even come clost to what you have corvettester, I just need to have the best of I what I got Thank you in advance.
  7. I know it is too early to judge. But around one month ago, I had a hair transplant. 1850 grafts in total. FUT Strip Procedure. I have a thin black hair. Bald pattern around of 6 to 7 scale. Here are some photos My questions: 1) Will I be able to do a second session? I still have some elastiscity in my donor area. 2) Is 1,850 grafts in one session a typical quantity to do in one session in my case, my surgeon stated that my hair strip cannot provide more than this in one session. I see surgeons indecating they are doing +3,000 in one session on the net. 3) If I do a second session, should I focus on frontal area? or go for the crown. Not enough grafts left in the 1st session to cover my crown area. 4) Will an FUE procedure be a good choice for me to harvest more grafts from the area around my neck under my hair line. I have dense hair there which forces me to shave it so often. Pictures shown during operation, 2 days post op, 4 days post op, 2 weeks, and 3 weeks post op. I did my surgery on August 21st. The operation lasted around 4 to 5 hours.
