  1. Hi all, I'm looking for ways (cheap ways) to stop my hair loss in it's tracks, would using Alpecin enable me to keep the hair I have? Anyone tried it? Any feed back would be appreciated, thanks.
  2. Hi Hairtohelp2, I noticed his prices on the website, very competitive. Like you say compared to the UK it’s crazy how much cheaper he is. I look forward to seeing how you get on. Out of interest how long have you been researching different Surgeons?? I myself have just started researching possible Surgeons, it’s bloody hard work ha ha Also what made you choose Dr Saifi, just the price or anything else?
  3. Thanks for your posts Spanker it would seem you certainly know your stuff!! $4.50 a graft dosen’t sound bad, however living in the UK I’d have to get a flight across the pond and with accommodation etc it would certainly bump the price up for the procedure. I’ve checked out Dr Lindsey on the internet some very impressive result there, I’ll certainly keep him in mind, however again cost involved getting to the US is somewhat off putting ideally I’d like to stay within Europe. But like I say I’ll def keep you in mind, and will probably hit you with a mail at some point in the future to find out possible costs etc after researching the field further. Mattj I am talking about English pounds, sorry didn’t clarify, I’ve had a look at Dr Rahal online again impressive results, however as previously stated travelling to Canada would be a long expensive trip, decisions, decisions! I’ve learnt a fair amount in the 2 days I’ve been researching this, thanks for the help guys, hopefully in a couple of month I’ll be all clued up and ready to take the plunge. As a foot note, do you guys know on average how many graft it takes to do a full head of hair? I’ve still got hair on my head but I’m guessing eventually I’ll be as bald as a coot, and require the full head to be done. Is this something I can do now, that being get hair transplanted all over my head before I actually loose it? Saving me having to go back every few year to (for want of a better word) fill in all the new gaps that have appeared Forgive my ignorance, I’ve just realised how little I know about all this hair transplant stuff :-/
  4. It certainly would be a lot easier if doctors placed their prices online, saving you having to call / email them all, looks like I'm going to have to put some leg work in for TheMane ;-)
  5. Hmm interesting stuff, certainly food for thought! I'll check out Shapiro's on your recommendation. Any suggestions on other popular physicians re price and quality?
  6. Help for a newbie! :-) I’m just starting out researching possible places to have my hair transplant, I originally considered having it done in the uk, however from previous threads I’ve read it sounds a lot cheaper going abroad, is this true?? Upon checking out recommended physicians (by this site) via their company websites I struggle to find any with price guides. Does anyone have any ideas of their prices?? My idea is to start researching physicians from the cheapest up, find one I’m happy with then go for it, aiming to get the most graft possible for what I can afford. Looking at spending 6-10k max, and from that I hope to have a full mane of hair again :-) I’m around number 5 on the norwood scale, would such a mane actually be possible for that budget, or am I clearly away with the hair pixies???
  7. Interesting thread, I look forward to checking out all your results! I've noticed it mentioned a number of time that Dr Saifi is considered cheaper than most, anyone have any idea on the price difference between him and recommended (by this site) hair restoration physician across Europe. I've checked out their websites but struggle to find a price guide?
