When you're in a bar, personality is not most important, law of attraction is, and there are dozens of good looking dudes with hair and a good personality. My regimen, personally I dont think it's too crazy. Morning with breakfast Proscar 1.25 Folic Acid B6 Biotin Multi VItamin Omega 3 Acai Berry with greet tea extract Evening with dinner Omega 3 Multi Vitamin Acai Berry with great tea extract I'm thinking about adding another folic acid and biotin at night. I may also add Dut once-- twice a week, I'm aware it may be pointless since it inhibits both DHT's but think it can help. Thanks!

I'm thinking the shampoo, I'm not growing my hair out until after a year and a half on Proscar 1.25mg. Also taking minox daily with nizoral twice a week, so should I just hold off with this stuff? Right now I'm using head and shoulders, but it makes me look even thinner with a shaved head, also when I used to have hair. I was thinking about using Main and Tail. Please link me to a cheap bottle so I can order online, or recommend an everyday shampoo, thanks!

I see all these stories about splitting the pills in quarters, like I'm doing, but no one really mentions if it's by Merk or not. I would love to know, as I started 1.25mg of generic Finasteride 3 days ago. My pharmacist said the ingredients are identical, but then have had other people say that Propecia is better and prescribed by most HT clinics, and that something with way it bonds is more efficient, which is kind of believable since propecia is SPECIFICALLY for hairless, and proscar/generic fin is for prostate. This is what Im taking, prescribed by family doctor and from a reputable laboratory in the Toronto area. It costed around $30 for a 4 month supply (cut in quarters). Propecia 1mg would cost me over $100 a month, which is expensive and worth the price with some hard evidence to making a difference.

Rogaine foam has been alright for the past year, no real results but has maintained. I started minoxidalmax 3 days ago, and an hour after every application I get white flakes that I can easily rub off my scalp with a damp cloth. I have no irritation or redness, it's just flakey, is this a bad sign? I feel like it will kill my follicles, I guess 3 days isn't enough time to tell. I'm trying to find the 2% online but it's very difficult, don't know which site to trust. Also there is cream, shampoo, and generic from both. Not sure if I wan't the brand name CREAM or SHAMPOO? If anyone knows any good pharmacies let me know, or should I get a prescription for the 2% from my family doctor and visit the local pharmacy? Cream or shampoo... hmm. I should add I'm currently about to begin 15% minoxidil after a year on 5% with no sides. One last question about this product, I've read to apply it after using regular shampoo, in my case head and shoulders shampoo/conditioner. After letting it sit, do I rinse with water or shampoo again? Thanks!

Anyone have experience with this product? The site still works in Canada, and I thought the Glycol might be a nice change since regular rogaine foam has given me little results over the past year. Also, I find it weird how with shipping it was under $50, less than rogaine foam. Thanks!

My doctor clearly stated today that there is nothing specific to look for in the body, and that there won't be a difference in 3 months for a follow up. I even asked him about testosterone and estrogen levels and he brushed it off. This seems unacceptable, and I think most family doctors would say the same. In face I went to 2 different doctors and they said the same thing in regards to a follow up. This makes me more nervous about beginning my regimen, incase I do suffer serious side affects. Also, the hair restoration clinic in my area does not provide blood work, and is not a very credible clinic anyway. Not sure I'm willing to drive to Toronto or fly to Rahal in Ottawa to be evaluated just for Finasteride. Please share your experiences, did you all have blood work done before taking Fin? I asked the doctor to just run more tests than I usually have done when I get a physical, hopefully it's enough. thanks!

I'm asking if HT doc's will still give the procedure knowing the patient is a heavy smoker, it seems counter active and possibly have negative results. It was just a curiosity of mine. Yes I know, terrible habit that I've been battling for quite some time, I've cut down immensely and am going to try to quit before tomorrow, May 1st.

I just got some Proscar from my doc, but am hesitant in starting because I'm currently still smoking a few cigarettes a day. I'm a pack a day smoker for roughly 8 years, currently 25 years old. My physique is great, but I can barely run 1 kilometer. There isn't any HARD evidence that smoking causes hairloss, but lots of studies come close, especially in accelerating hair loss. In the States, lot's of clinics don't even prescribe patients with Ulcers drugs like Nexium, because they are smokers, and they feel it's a waste. I'm wondering if the same goes for Fin/HT and smoking. i'm currently trying to quit, and I wan't to be in great aerobic shape before I start either of these things. I'd like to know so I can weigh the side effects a bit more. When I took Strattera for mild ADD, my penis in fact shrunk when on it about an inch. I could not have sex with a fully erect penis what so ever, when stopping everything went back to normal a few days later. This affects about 9% of the men on that drug. Being very sensitive to drugs I am worried about the effects of FIN. Thanks!

5 years later, what's the verdict?

I've been working out since I was 16, and genetically it's difficult for me to gain weight. My regimen now is Mon - Chest abs, Tue - back, Wed - legs, Thurs - shoulders, Friday - Abs again, Weekend - Rest. I do more reps for the body parts I wan't defined, and less reps with heavier weight for bulk, which is what I just started doing for abs by adding weights. Anyways you guys, I'm very paranoid of starting this med, that small % of men who suffer is really nerv racking, and the longer i wait the more hair I lose. Rogain isn't helping much, and taking such a drug sounds like I'm asking for trouble. My family doctor said not to touch it but didn't give any real reasons, and the doctor at the walk in clinic prescribed it right away. I also have a friend who had amazing results after only 4 months, but 2 years later he stopped, not due to sides, but potential sides in the future. He also prefers his shaved head. Also, I feel it's progressed too much to have regrowth, which I know isn't Fin's main goal. I've had serious anxiety all day, and I'm not even on it yet. My social life is the same and it doesn't effect me too much having hairless, but man the quality of women I attracted before was impressive. Yes it's shallow to think you need hair to attract women, but the law attraction and first impressions are important in having fun/mingling. Of course personality is very important also. I'm not looking to settle down for a long time, and won't get married or have children until my mid 30s assuming I am financially blessed.

I'm about to start Proscar 5mg, cut into quarters, taken once daily. I'm also beginning to religiously apply Rogain Foam 5% twice daily, and Nizoral 3 times a week. Luckily I still have all my hair on my temples, it's just buzzed down and a FAIL fade. I promised myself I would quit smoking cigarettes and the occasional joint, and begin running for a good month, I'm in shape otherwise. I will be getting blood work done before I begin, and will follow up MONTHLY. My main concerns are Erectile Dis-function, Peyronie's Disease, and Gynecomastia. Yes these are rare but I'm still aware. I've taken meds for ADD in the past, which have immensely effected my labito, which is why I think Proscar may. Since then I'm back to normal, but we will see. I've uploaded pics of my hairloss, as well as my physique. My current sex drive is very strong. I can maintain an erection for hours, ejaculate 3+ times in one night, and still have spontaneous erections as well as wet dreams every couple of months, if that's any consolation. Anyways, I will update you all along the way, and will post back here if I see results, or if I'm suffering from bad side effects. I know how difficult it is to find genuine before and afters of Finasteride, so I'm helping the cause. God speed.

You're right, it's Proscar he's giving me. I was prescribed Propecia by the walk in clinic doctor, and the pharmacist told me my other options. Why is Propecia 5mg better? I can't imagine there being any physical evidence of this. Pharmacist said they are manufactured the exact same way and contain the same elements. $100 is pricey for 1 month supply (1mg), which is relatively the price here,, but I was sucked into rogaine foam versus kirkhunter so I'll probably be sucked into propecia.

So I got a prescription on friday for Propecia 5mg. The pharmacist told me only generic finasteride only comes in 5mg, and that is what he would prescribe me. Now I can't understand how it is so much cheaper, I'm from Canada by the way.
