  1. Hello everyone. Dr. Feller asked me to post this patient who had a small repair of 1800 grafts. Prior to visiting us he had a thousand grafts performed just behind his forelock and in the hairline on the sides, but it didn't grow too well. Dr. Feller implanted 1800 grafts on the hairline and around the forelock to "solidify" the area. Here are his one year post op pictures. More before/after photos to come after the summer.

    Thank you.

  2. There were some questions about plugs and concealer on this patient.

He is not wearing any concealing products and no plugs or minigrafts were used.

Dr. Feller makes a transition zone of about 1/4 inch of purely 1 hair follicular units in the hairline.

Here are some photos that may help to clear everything up.

He is extremely happy and will be coming back for more surgery for the top behind the transplants where he is now thinning.

Thank you all for your comments and interest.

  3. Bob,

Spex has informed me of the situation concerning you and I wanted to address it myself. I felt my input is warranted.

Deposits are non-refundable, that is the nature of deposits unless otherwise specified. We do not take deposits to trick future patients or take advantage of them as you now contend. We do it to make sure patients live up to their end of the agreement should I secure a surgical date exclusively for them thereby rejecting all other potential patients for that day.

From the moment you paid your deposit my staff were obligated to that day and I was obligated to pay them REGARDLESS of whether you decided to back out or not. That's what it takes to keep a highly experienced and competent staff. I don't expect everyone to understand that, which is why I simply state that deposits are non-refundable.

Of course there are patients with extenuating circumstances and there are patients who back out within days of booking. I return deposits to such patients immediately. You, however, do not fall into any of these categories.

I was amazed to hear from Spex that you had actually left your deposit back in 2008 for a surgical date in early 2009. Be that as it may, you had secured a hard date which was the 16th January 2009 and then later backed out, this is exactly why I and every other clinic take deposits. This goes double for UK patients I haven't yet met, such as yourself, where I employ my entire crew because I simply don't know how big your case is going to be or how many staff I will need.

We did hold your deposit outstanding for you to use at some future date, which I was under no obligation to do, but you never pursued it until recently. And now I'm told by Spex, 4 years later, that you don't want surgery anymore and want your deposit back for whatever reason. You lost that deposit years ago as I did pay my staff for the date you obligated yourself too but failed to attend.

It is immaterial that you called to change it months before because almost EVERYONE books cases SEVERAL months in advance and it's these far dates that most patients have to choose from for their own procedures. In short, patients who wanted the same day you booked could not get it because you had already locked it in.

Rest assured that I did not profit from your deposit. Rather, I lost a day of surgery in which I not only could have earned far more, but also been able to help a more willing patient.

I trust this will bring closure to our relationship and I truly do wish you the best in future endeavors. I will not be responding or even reading this thread anymore and have asked Spex to do the same.

  4. Hello everybody.

Dr. Feller asked me to post pictures of this patient who he performed 1500 grafts in one procedure almost two years ago. He is really happy and wants to do more.

Doctor Feller implanted into the hairline which was originally very whispy, but today that's a different story! Here are the photographs we took just a few days ago.

Thank you everyone and have a great day.

  5. Hi everyone.

We received pictures from this patient that shows his growth at six months since his procedure of 3,000 grafts with Dr Feller.

Dr. Feller wanted me to point out that he "polarized" this patient by placing more grafts up the patient's left side so that he could maximize the coverage he could achieve in one sitting. If you look at the photo where he looks down you can see the patients left side next to the crown is coming in great. He did this because the patient wants to comb his hair from left to right.

He will send us more photos at the year mark and we will post them at that time with these photos.

Thank you all and have a nice day everyone.

  6. Hello everyone.

A patient visited us this week who had a procedure here 9 months ago. Dr. Feller placed 1,500 grafts into his completely bald hairline using the FUT method. Now the patient is back to thicken up the area with more grafts. He is scheduled in for 1000 grafts between his last grafts. Dr. Feller originally recommended 2,500 grafts in his first sitting but this patient was concerned about it looking too thick and possibly unnatural so he had Dr. Feller do only 1,500 grafts. But now he's back for another round since he can now see the transplant does not look unnatural or too thick. A little hair greed?

Here are pictures of him at nine months after his first procedure with the doctor.

We'll put more pictures up at his 1 year visit just before round two.

    Take care all,

  7. Hello everyone. We just received a visit from one of our patients in whom Dr. Feller performed 3,250 grafts in just one sitting to the frontal third of the scalp. The patient was very happy at the ten month mark and came in to discuss a second procedure to address the top and the crown.

Below please find his BEFORE photos, ONE WEEK AFTER SURGERY photos, and ten month AFTER photos.

    Thank you and take care.

  8. Hello everyone.

One of our patients from three years ago contacted us this week to give us an update on his results. He had 4,250 grafts transplanted by Dr. Feller 3 years ago in one procedure and was nice enough to forward some photos himself which I'm posting here along with his before pictures.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

    Thank you.

  9. Hello everyone,

This New York native has a very thick coarse hair with salt and pepper color. He is an actor in Film and TV so understandably his appearance is very important to him, especially during those tell-all close ups.

He had lost his entire hairline and it looked as if he had a hole right in the middle of the front third of scalp that was completely devoid of hair. You can see that in the before pictures within the purple markings.

Dr. Feller rebuilt the front third of his scalp with 2,000 grafts and incorporated his existing hair to maximize the result.

He visited us yesterday (Monday 8/8/11) which makes 13 months since his procedure and is extremely happy with his results.

Dr. Feller took close up pictures with hair styled and with the new hair combed out to show the density and yield.

I also included a photo of the patient with one our technicians Jo-Ann.

Thank you and have a good day everyone,

  10. Hello everyone. I just received these photos from one of our patients we performed surgery on two and a half years ago. We filled in the front third of his scalp with follicular units in a dense pack.

I tried to match the before photos and intra operative photos as best I could to the photos he sent us. Spex is going to try and get some more photos from the patient to post later on.

  11. Hello everyone,

Dr. Feller just finished performing his first surgery of the day and asked me to share the immediate post op pictures with everyone. The patient himself will be viewing this post when he gets back to his hotel room.

He received 3,172 grafts in total:

824 single follicular units placed on hairline and backline

2,348 multi-hair grafts-an inordinate amount of these grafts were three hair FUs which is great.

Procedure begain at 7:30am and finished at 3:00pm with a break for lunch.

All grafts were placed in a dense pack of lateral slits. Patient just slipped a hat on and headed back to his hotel.

Sorry there is a little blood in the pictures, we JUST finished his case. Patient will send us photos as he grows and we will post them here.

    Happy growing

  12. Hello everyone. This British gentleman had his first procedure with us almost two years ago at which time we implanted 3,500 grafts into the front and top. So I posted his before and after pictures here. I also put up some pictures with some blood we took during his procedure. If they bother anybody I will take them down.

  13. Hello all. I have been asking Dr Feller to post this result for a few months now but he thought it was too small a case to bother sharing, but I think these results were very dramatic and that others would want to see them.

I remember Mr. M and he had good hair features on top but had just lost his hairline. Dr. Feller filled the area with "pure one-hair grafts" as he calls them because it was right on the hairline and Mr. M is Asian with thick hair. We use mantis microscopes to disect our grafts and Dr. Feller hovered over all of us during Mr. M's procedure inspecting the grafts to make sure there were nothing but one hair follicles used.

Mr. M was all smiles when he came into the office to show off his new hairline to Dr. Feller after 8 months of growth.

We did 1,300 all single grafts on him 8 months before the after photos were taken and put them into a "dense-pack" as Dr. Feller calls it.

I hope nobody finds the surgery picturs too upsetting because there is some blood in them. If someone does I'll remove them.
