  1. Thanks for the replies, it is giving me a lot to think about.
  2. Thats what I was thinking. Alternatively for me a better option would be to get additional grafts as needed if that would be a viable plan? Going by the older male members of my family the sides and back retain thick hair and would hopefully provide a sufficient donor area going forward.
  3. I would take procecia for a recommended period of time before and after the operation but I have read a long list of side effects with the use of propecia and would prefer not to take it for more than a few months post op. Rogaine and Nizoral will be added but I would be more of the thinking of getting work done as required when the baldness pattern progresses. Thanks for the information.
  4. Hello, I see that there is discussion about medication in conjunction with hair transplant surgery but I cant find a thread with more information about what the medication is, how is it taken and for how long post op. Any advice would be appreciated.
  5. I will bump this and see if there is any opinion on my current situation.
  6. With a budget of E15,000 and using Hasson & Wong prices that would equate to 6,000 grafts. How much of an effect would that number of grafts have on me?
  7. John, no idea how to check private messages on this site as it keeps bringing me to a newsfeed of who logged in when I click on message inbox. My email address is riveredhouse@gmail.com
  8. Here are some pictures so that I might get more tailored advice.
  9. Thanks for the advice. I received a private message from someone willing to give me advice. I logged in, went to "messages" at the top of the page, clicked "message inbox". It brought me to a news feed with no sign of the message I received. How do the messages work on this site?
  10. The research I'm doing is making me realise how complicated it is. Firstly it seems that the best options are in the US and Canada. I am willing to travel to get the job done right. I'm not really sure how to compare surgeons yet to get the job done correctly but there are two surgeons that seem to be mentioned regularly on the forums: Hair Transplants | Hair Transplant Surgery | Hasson & Wong (Vancouver) Hair Transplants New York / New Jersey, Long Island and International (New York) Also I was under the impression that I got the surgery done and a few months later I had a full head of hair. Do I have to take medications and what is the usual course? Thanks for any advice, as ye know its a minefield of information out there.
  11. Hello, I am at the stage where I will be getting hair restoration soon. I have been balding since 18. I'm 25 now and my hairline has receded very far and the remaining hair on the top of my head is very thin. My brother and father both have the same hair loss pattern at my age. There are two main hair restoration clinics in Dublin, Ireland. I am not sure how to compare the quality of the work. I am willing to pay up to ?15,000 to hopefully have a full head of hair in one year. I am also willing to travel to the United Kingdom for the operation as there will be a lot of top surgeons especially in London. I am hoping someone would be able to tell me what the reputation of the two Dublin clinics If anybody can recommend a London surgeon that I can visit that would also be appreciated. Thanks.
