Do NOT get fue into the scar with the scar the size it is now it will use up alot of grafts and take 3 passes and the scar will still be visable,get a revision by a top doc reduce the size of the scar then fue it but def get a revision first,if you are close to mn instead of reeves go see shapiro.

Is this photo trick hard to do joe?if not it would be a great idea to add to post op pics.

Cant believe two passes was necessary..pics are bad dont really see a great improvement if any to pre op but that maybe because of the poor pic quality its hard to tell

i do know my facts we will see now do you..is it not a coincidence that it was only your transplanted area was effected by your surgery?since it was telogen effluvium you most have had hair in the area before surgery that you are saying has no growth now?is this true?

beard hair is as good as scalp hair imo for scarring repair,anything else is just stupid,ive seen umar use arm chest abdomen pubic armpit and leg hair all of these are a big NO not just because of poor yield or cost but because well its body hair or your head simple as that.

Looks good in all the photos spex put up very natural,in the first pics you uploaded haircare the top shot down it looks like a small improvement nothing major for the amount of grafts you got maybe you lost more native hair since but still its good and very natural.

Planting flat is somethinh i had never heard off,it makes sense though,i thought planting is done at the same angle as in nature,why would docs plant upwards if it can be a negative effect?

how is your scar?any pic of it?

how anyone can say he got a good yield is beyond me.

The tilted view is a killer for me too still,one thing might be worth mentioning after my fue's for the first few weeks the hairs in the harvested area appeared to have been slightly effected by neighbouring extractions in that they didnt appear as strong,i put this down to the supply being effected-most of the blood going to heal the holes rather than to the hair follicle,this may have happened to you and it may give you an extra 10% more fullness in the areas but this is just a theory of mine and may have no substance at all.

If you have to get grafts put back in there then do it by harvesting the virgin areas in the back to make it all blend in,bottom line is wait 9-12months then look in to repair if your still bothered,how short do you usually wear your hair?

on the new photos i was going to say the lines arent half as prominent,is all hair on the back of your head equal length on first set of pics?

Looking at the new pics in doesnt appear you were overharvested,i had empty patches like some areas were over 50% harvested,you first set of pics looked bad your last set dont!!

A hairtransplant is a life long investment,the inconvenience of a hairtransplant with a shaved head lasts a month or 6 weeks,its pretty obvious what the sensible thing to do is.

4200 grafts should give you good density in the first half of your head,even though the photo is very poor its obvious some areas are thick and some are not,regardless of length things should look uniform in density and yours does not.

Can you upload a few more clearer pics with better and various lighting?

Im not trying to be ass telling by you something you dont want to hear but i wasted months worrying and wondering what happened will it fill in etc.

With scar tissue you need to wait a yr before grafting,scar tissue us not as vascuralised as normal tissue.

500 grafts with a .9mm punch should not leave that amount of a drop in density in those 3 areas just my opinion,can you upload clearer photos?

How short is your hair in the photos?how do you feel buzzing to a 1 guard just to see how it grows out and try to examine with 2 mirrors to see what is going on the areas?i used a magnification mirror used for contact lenses to see in really close and it was obvious pretty early on that i was overharvested.It filled in maybe 10% their after thats all.

I had this done to me by a greek fue clinic,i had only one area overharvested compared to your 3,so i more than most know how you are feeling.

Firstly let me say the redness that remains doesnt help.If you buzzed your hair equal lenght 3 weeks post op you should not have those 3 lines that is fact do not listen to anyone else giving you false hope.It goes without saying that this was not a good doc who did this so as with mine some hair will grow back in your overharvested areas due to possible transections,this was the case with me but i was still left with a noticeably less dense area in the back of my head,mine was around 6 inch's long x 1 inch in height.Shock loss is very very rare,only one case of it i seen and that was spex from dr jones.

I had to get grafts put back in to the area one yr later it looks alot better now but not perfect.

Wait a yr and see how things are.

Anyone reading this ALWAYS shave your entire donor area when getting fue,some people shave out lines like above to conceal the work but that is a stupid idea.

50 grafts cm sq is loads!!native density is around 80 i doubt any doc would pack that amount of grafts for anyone unless they are pretty old with minimum loss great donor and even at that their is no need for 80

i seen a case like yours done by ron shapiro and it was excellent,since i cant post links here search this into google...'resection and grafting to hairline dr ron shapiro' it will bring you onto another forum called hairloss experiences,i have also seen a case done by dr hasson it was excellent too..

True it does fight hair loss but it doesnt succeed,the active ingredient ketoconazole i think thats how its spelt anyway,in one study it was meant to maybe as effective as 2% minoxidil,it takes alot more than one small scale study to prove it does anything for hairloss,it does nothing imo if it did the makers could advertise it to fight hair loss.

i had a crap fue and a very good one,the crap one left bad scarring and i need a 4guard to cover that scarring,the good fue i can buzz that area to 1 guard and without a guard no visable scarring,lesson of the story do not get fue unless a .9mm or under is used.

when fue is done correctly it will not leave any thin areas.

when it comes to matching the transplanted hair with native hair its a simple case of demand v supply,if you have great donor you can get a higher density transplant,i for one have to leave my transplanted hair at my temples grow a bit longer than the native forlock so to make the same amount of light getting thru,i have poor donor density with previous scarring.

Personally i would use propecia not the generic version finpecia.

Start off propecia on a low dose say a quarter eod for a month then increase it to a half eod..wait and see for 6 months if this helps if not increase the dose.i think its important to find the correct balance and what dose you need,just because the pill is 1mg doesnt mean you wont respond to .5mg

Nizoral does nothing for hairloss what so ever,no shampoo does.i use nizoral just because its a good shampoo and my scalp feels good after wash.

I see some doctors using the word 'repair' when they just add grafts in one session,this is a true repair imo,great work looks way better!

Your hairline looks great,i would def go the fue route for touch ups.
