  1. Below few shots of the situation now. I'm pretty ok with what i've got on top but crown look bare. Not as easy to notice as i've grown my hair for prob 18mo, hides a fair bit of the crown area. 2nd pictures taken with very wet hair, 1st much dryer but still bit wet.

    Question:

I'm not sure yet whether i should go for FUT or FUE. I want to be able to get as much hair as possible given I'm Norwood 7. I understand FUE is much more common now though.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

  2. Background:

Norwood 7 - Starting Noticing hairloss since 18.

MEDICATIONS & CONCEALERS: None. Tried 10 years ago but gave up. Not for me.

    HT:

Underwent a HT with Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich on 5/01/12

    I received 4163 grafts / 11515 hairs

    # 1 hair grafts: 296

    # 2 or 3 hair grafts: 3091

    # 4 to 5 hair grafts: 776

On the day after the HT Dr Path told me i had dense hair and decent flex so could consider second HT down the track.

Photos 2,3,4,6 are Pre1st HT and just Post.

  3. not to worry mate, i had scabs until as late as 1mth post op. I was too gently. I suggest u put olive oil for an hour before working on the scabs. Remember not to prick, just gently but firmly rub.

I tried a couple times and all the scabs were gone :)

    Hi wb280,

Were you doing the same on the donor scar? Were you rubbing it too?

If so, how long did it take you for the donor scar scabs to come off?

  4. I don't know if you'll need this, but for 3 months I've been using Nanogen aquamatch pencil concealer on my scar then Nanogen locking mist.

Done wonders & helped a lot when I had to go back to work with a smiley & face people.

I've been putting less & less of it as the months go by and the shock loss is near all gone. Without it, my scar was very visible since all of my hair was all shaved down pre-op.

Used to use a bit of Nanogen fibres pre-op on a night out or on a date. It never came off, the locking mist helped a lot. I don't use it anymore though.

    Hi Dutch,

How early after HT would you use Nanogen aquamatch pencil on the scar?

  5. Most people on the forum seems to recommend to use Nizoral twice a week and from what i can gather most use Nizoral 1%.

Shall you use it only once a week if you were to use Nizoral 2%? Or should you not leave it on your head as long?

Just bumping this thread... For those that use Nizoral 2% do you use twice a week as well?

  6. Hi Bald,

Congratulations on the HT with Dr Path, can I ask you a couple of questions please?

I am booked for a HT with Dr Path in May this year, approx 3500 grafts I have been told, how long did your HT take?

Also, did Dr Path carry out all the work himself?

I hear great things about him so hope we both have fantastic results.

It would be great to see some of your photos.

    Good luck!

    Hi Barry1108,

My HT took btw 8 to 10 hours, don't remember too much.

It felt like a 20 minutes foot massage and a quick nap :D - Was fantastic!

For your second question you might want to ask Dr Pathomvanich directly. Before I got to Bangkok I only had exchanged with Dr Pathomvanich and his team via email and they

    very helpful knowledgeable and responsive.

Good luck with your HT and except for technical ones (which I think sit with Dr Pathomvanich and his team) please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

  7. Hi KG

I used Dermatch everywhere ( all 3 HT's) post op to hide the work.Obviously, I waited the standard 8-10 days for healing but it worked great!!!

    Hi Mr Jobi,

Just interested to know how you managed to conceal your donor scar using dermmatch - Just bought some dermmatch and will try in 2 days (I'll be 10 days post OP). My hair is buzzed down to a 1.

Do you use a base on the donor scar first?

    Thanks in advance,
