  1. The new growth is now starting, my hair feels thicker and is covering the previous bald areas, very pleased with the results so far. I attach three pictures, please ignore date on them as camera is old and i cant change date, I will post better pictures shortly when I buy new camera Cheers
  2. I haven't had any shock loss up to this point, I have just sent some pictures to update Dr Devroye, and he says everything looks good and is as expected at this stage. I don't know what the percentage of shock loss between the two procedures, that is something a good surgeon would be able to tell you, just make sure you get as much info as you can before you decide your next move. Cheers
  3. I went for the FUT proceedure after studying the very good results atchieved by Dr Devroye, and the very neat finish of the doner strip. I did not want to have the area shaved, mainly because of my work situation, this did make more work and take extra time, but for me it was worth it. I had the surgery on a Friday and was back in work on the following tuesday, and no one knew that I had anything done! regards Dom
  4. Hello All, I have just had hair transplant surgery done on 22nd April 2011, by Dr Devroye in Brussels, and feel I should share my experience. I searched for a long time to find someone that I felt comfortable with, and Whom I believed could atchieve the best results for me, and after talking to just about everyone in the UK, and several 'consultations' later, I decided that i needed to look a bit further afield. Looking on this forum, i read up on Dr Devroye's history and thought, this guy's work looks good and sent him photos, I then recieved detailed pictures explaining what could be done, including a morphed computerised image of the proposed areas that required work. I then went over Brussels for an assessment, and view his impessive surgery for myself, following our meeting I knew he was the man for me. After a number of weeks thinking hard and taking it all in, I booked my surgery with Dr Devroye. On arrival in Brussels the day before surgery i was collected at the station by one of the team and taken to a very nice hotel, just ten minutes walk from the surgery. I had pre op check up that afternoon, had a good night sleep ready for the big day. On arrival at the surgery around 8.00am the next day, the was a calm relaxing atmosphere about the place, which made me feel very comfortable, the surgery lasted the whole day, but went quickly and without pain. I had lunch with the staff and chatted away with them, and they reassured me that it was going well. There were more grafts than origionally expected, so Dr Devroye and the team worked longer to incorporate these into an extra area. At the end of the surgery I had 3433 grafts, with a total of 8781 hairs, more than was anticcipated, I was extemely pleased about this. I was looked after from the moment I arrived, to the post op check up the day after surgery, All in all a very positive experience, Dr Devroye and his staff are all complete proffesionals and I would not hesitate to recomend him to anyone thinking of a HT.
