Anyone else can chime in regarding there experiences of using nizoral post ht,at what month did you start using it and how many times per week and did it effect the end result?
Im currently 6 months post op, before my ht I always used Nizoral 2% once a week for many years (in combination with Avodart amd regaine) just wondering if it’s ok to start now 6 months in without causing any damage.

Unless you are literally putting rags in boiling water and then putting it on your head, you shouldn’t have any problems that affect transplanted hair growth. That said, you may experience some discomfort if it’s too hot and you may cause inflammation of the scalp if you do it too frequently.
Rest assured, the newly transplanted grafts are deeply secured underneath the surface of the scalp and have been since approximately one week postop.
Best wishes,
Rahal Hair Transplant
Thanks for the response really appreciate it 🤩

I would err on the safe side and despite the acne, hold off on the hot compresses and put the transplant recovery itself first. Pimples often are a common part of the surgical post op as well. All the best. 👍
Thanks Gatsby I will stop the compresses just hope that I have not caused any damage. 🥺

It all depends on when this is done post-op…IMHO, hot compresses are not necessary but if it were me, I would wait until the full regrowth of my grafts have occurred and even then, a warm compress not a hot one
Hi gillenator I have been doing the hot compress’s from the 1 month mark (I’m now at the 2 month mark). Mostly for trapped skin/hair fragments causing red small pimple type spots with no head.
With out the skin being burnt or very red after doing the compress’s do you think that a hot compress could have damaged the grafts underneath and possibly jeopardised the end result?? I may get as done these compresses once or twice daily for 3 weeks.

Hi I’m a little concerned as is there such a thing as a compress being too hot as I have been using hot compressants twice a day for pimples In the last month. (I’m 2 months post fue) is there any cause for concern that hot compressants may of damaged grafts.

Thanks so much for the helpful and reassuring answers Lasercap and Dr Charles👍🏼

Hey guys
I’m on Day 9 post op and I washed my temples and eyebrows which I had a ht done on and I understand it’s ok to massage gently with the shampoo the clinic gave me but I had lots of tiny scabs which haven’t budged so I got the “round flat cotton wool pads” (that girls use to remove makeup) and used this with the shampoo and warm water and went over everything and managed to get lots of scabs off over 60% to my surprise(though quite a lot of Small hairs came out as well and so looks a little thinner now on both temples and eyebrows) Is this normal??
I’ll add I had no bleeding, but I’m a little nervous as I was just wondering if using the cotton pads and running over the scabs might of done any damage??

Most docs will want their patients to wait no less than 2 weeks post-op to resume using minoxidil...the key is that the area is completely healed...so if you are a slow healer, you should wait longer until complete healing has taken place....all scabs and crusting gone.
Hey gillenator
Thanks for your response I understand no Regaine on grafted recipient site but I was talking about placing Regaine near but not on the grafts as had a hit on my temples and eyebrows but NOT my hairline so was asking if it’s ok to put it on my hairline frontal third which had no work done. 😀

Makes sense thanks Lasercap

The medication is systemic. Regardless of where you put it, it is working the whole head. That is, there is no need to put it everywhere. You are just wasting the med. If you're going to notice any enhancement it will likely be in the crown and retention elsewhere.
Hi lasercap thanks for your response I understand it works best on the crown but I would like to know if applying to the hairline would be detrimental ie damage the newly implanted grafts on the temples and eyebrows which I had 3/4 days ago OR should I wait until the 2 week mark to restart the Regaine?
-
Hi guys
i wanted to ask (possibly a silly question) but I have been applying Regaine to my frontal third for years but had a ht on my temples and side burns and eyebrows 3 days ago. Is it ok to use Regaine only on the frontal hairline as long as I don’t touch the temples/brows etc with Regaine? (As heard somewhere that Regaine travels down the blood flow on the face?
Also is 2 weeks post op enough time to use Regaine again on my weak temples?
Thanks again

So a good clinic can extract a single looking graft which has a hidden second graft in it making it a 2 hair graft and SPLIT the graft into two singles??? Is this correct??🤔

This video talks all about the importance of microscopes for singling out grafts for hairlines
Wow pretty informative every clinic should have several microscopes period other wise run 🏃🏽♂️

Thanks Upshall for your kind response makes total sense 😀

Hi all, I was wondering if temple points needed touching up of a few hundred single grafts in the donor via fue IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE SUREGEON CAN SEE AND EXTRACT ONLY THE SINGLE HAIRS?? or is it a case where each hair extracted might be 1, 2 or 3 hairs and the 2 and 3 hair units thrown away as need only the singles?

Thanks Dr Charles and Gillenator appreciate your kind responses as always?

IMHO, your mild dandruff and dry skin will not have a detrimental effect on the regrowth of your grafts.
I also like coconut oil and maybe use some rich aloe vera cream in conjunction with it.
Hi Gillenator,
Thank you so much for your response.
My main concern is when I start regaine two weeks post eyebrow ht surgery will coconut oil inhibit or damage/hinder growth if left on for an hour a day?
Was thinking of trying out aloe Vera also but I’m sure this does NOT damage or hinder any growth even if left in all day as a moisturiser?

Does the infamous Dr Feriduni do this???

Hi guys
I started using regaine foam about 6 weeks ago and seems to be helping to stabilise my eyebrow hair loss. I have my 2nd eyebrow ht coming up in a few weeks which is mainly a touch up and fill in some gaps about 150/200 grafts. Now I don’t really have any itchiness or inflammation on my eyebrows but I do have small dry flakes and scaly bits.
I have tried medicated dandruff shampoos such as neutragena T gel/sal shampoo as well as a mild tea tree and Nizoral once a week but not helping just seems to dry my eyebrow hairs out more. I use Coconut oil in the morning and leave on for 30min which does help a lot but not quite enough.
My main concern is will my mild dandruff and small scaly dry skin effect hair growth from the transplant???
Out of interest has anyone else had a scalp hair transplant and had dandruff before having the surgery and still had great results?
Thanks for all your help in advance

I saw your video and hair loss journeyhairhope4ever WOW I think Dr Umar done something amazing with you over those 5 days you got a great head of hair out of it☝??
So you say the same as Gambler that the beard hair implanted began to sprout through the scalp at the 5 Month mark also? Or was it sooner? and by the 6/7 month mark got noticeably longer and thicker?
I’m at the 3 month and 1 week mark today so was just wondering?
I second what gambler said.I had a mega session with Dr. Umar in January of 2016, which consisted of 6500 beard, body, and the little head hair I had left from prior procedures.
I noticed that things started to really escalate for me around the 6-7 month mark. However, with beard and body hair transplantation, I noticed growth and thickening all the way up to the 18 month mark.
About my hair loss journey:
-
Beard hair definitely takes longer to activate - in my experience (and I've got plenty) the noticeable activity starts around the 5 - 6 months mark.
Thanks for the response Gambler, so do you mean it took 5 months for the very first few transplanted beard hairs to sprout through the scalp??
-
Mayira thanks for your great informative link and of course no offence taken at all lol. Yeah seems to me what I have read they pretty much grow in at the same time as scalp hair tbh.
-
Hi guys
Has Anyone had beard hair/ stubble transplanted into there scalp? If so does the beard hair start to sprout at the 3 to 3.5 month mark ( just like donor hair) OR does beard hair come in later? As it has a different hair growth cycle compared to donor hair?
Thanks again any answers would be helpful ??

Thanks Gillenator for your good wishes and kind response. I went and applied tea tree oil twice in one day on various pimples at the 21 day mark (3weeks) but only done this once! Do you think I may of damaged grafts??? as I'm a little concerned now:o
Also I applied witch hazel for the last 4 days twice a day on the pimples which seemed to help combined with the warm compresses do you think it again I may have damaged anything with witch hazel??? I will STOP the witch hazel now and just do warm compresses 2-3 times a day.
I would appreciate your feedback fella:)
how soon do you start using nizoral after a ht?
