It's been over a year since I started....I recently started with 5% minoxidil. Started using half of 5mg finasteride daily more than a year ago and nizoral non-perscription (2x a week) year ago. I also grew my hair out, no longer shaving my head with a clipper (zero). Anyone have any thoughts on my hair? Should I ask the doctor for Dutasteride? Is there hope for me?:confused:

Anyone else have any thoughts? Doctors? I've noticed really long hair sprouting in the front, I've noticed few smaller hair grower where no hair is growing before. Anyone have any thoughts on growing hair in the front and the temples?

I looked into that....but I kinda like the longer hair on top. Anyone think my hair is getting thinner or the stuff im using is helping?

Update...Started using half of 5mg finastride daily roughly nine months ago and nizoral non-perscription (2x a week) nine months ago... Anyone see improvement in my pictures? I noticed a few long hairs in the front, small blonde hairs, peach fuzz in the front...Any thoughts? I may give up :mad: Not sure where to go from here, I don't see much improvement in the front

Does the brand matter? Anyone see improvement in my pictures? I noticed small blonde hairs, peach fuzz in the front...Any thoughts?

Yes, half of 5mg as prescribed by my doctor. Should I cut it into 1/4 instead?

Update: Doctor subscribed me, fin 5mg, taking half the pill per day as prescribed too (I have been on it a month). I just started using Nizoral shampoo two times per week. I've used rogaine foam and now the generic liquid (been on it for a year plus). I haven't noticed much results, month seems short but I've seen a few hairs sprout where there was no hair before. How long till I see results, should I take the 5mg per day, do I need to use rogaine still, and do I need to start using baby shampoo?

I am excited for the results of myself. I just started taking 5mg fin, half per day as per described by my doctor.

Any recommendations for finasteride? Generic finasteride or namebrand? I read Proscar (finasteride 5 mg) instead of Propecia should I continue to use rogaine foam and finasteride at the same time?

Any other options?
