  1. Also if I'm going to start the big 3, is there any other things that i should add to the regimme- saw palmetto? Biotin? multivitamins? fishoil caps? provillus? and how do you rate the importance of these?
  2. Hey sorry just to jump in but i'm also in the uk and looking to start on rogaine foam. Do they sell rogaine foam in the uk? All I can seem to find is stuff called rEgaine foam... is this the same stuff and is it as effective?
  3. Thanks for the responses people. I've just ordered one months supply of propecia (1mg) and am also going to buy rogaine but not sure what version to get- swaying towards the foam though. Bit nervous about starting but also quite looking forward to the thought of preventing further hair loss. Ok one question about the shedding period when starting on fin and minox. Is the hairloss visibly noticeable (thinning/ increased size of bald spots) or do you just lose more hair than you normally would do and the hair stays the same density. And with regards to Nizoral shampoo, How effective/important is it in relation to using it in conjunction with fin and minox. I've heard about the 'big 3' concept but always thought that the shampoo was the least important? Any thoughts welcome.

  5. Hi. Thanks for your response. Wow 8 years on the stuff and no hair loss. Have you had any side effects from fin because the stories on this forum are a bit worrying to say the least- especially for a 20 year old at college! Do you think its worth the risk at my age?
  6. Hi all. Would really appreciate your advice. I'm 20 years old and have a receding hairline and my hair is gradually getting thinner which is obviously quite worrying as I am so young. I know the hairloss is genetic as my dad is extremely thin on top and it happened to him early on aswell. The thing is with my hair as it is now, I am actually quite happy with it as there is quite a lot left and i can easily cover up the recession when I groom/style my hair correctly. I would probably say I am a norwood 2 on the scale but close to a norwood 1. However I know that if I leave it, I am more than likely going to lose the majority of my hair in the next 5-10 years After reading a lot about treatment for hairloss it seems that it is better to start treatment early for a better chance of keeping your hair. I am seriously considering taking the plunge with finasteride and minoxidil (thinking maybe rogaine foam?) and not to sure about Niox shampoo? I just wanted to hear any advice for some one like me who wants to catch hairloss early. What should I take? Should I start all of them at the same time? Are there any other methods that I should consider to help keep my hair? I would really appreciate any advice at all. I read this forum all the time and the information on here has really opened my eyes about the treatment for hairloss.
