  1. No, unfortunately, I will not publicly post my pictures here.

I am a mixed male. A black father and a white mother.

None of you would have "interest" in my results, because of that fact. You will be interested in other men who resemble you.

    Fair skin?

    Light brown hair?

    Etc.

  2. HighTopFade, if you would post pictures in this thread, I'd love to see them. I'm going to consider SMP this summer, and it is really cool if I could do this in Chicago. If you don't feel like posting them here I would like to see them anyway, please contact me by PM if you don't mind. Cheers. :)

  3. Just curious, u say it faded AND it was amazing! Are you embracing the extreme-temporary thing? This will get Milena inc. and her friends worried! ( like that? Inc - ink)

Alright, I know, I know, I'm being a dick... so she did a great job on the geometry, density etc. but the crown faded. OK, that makes sense iif the epidermal and dermal thickness vary at different points in the scalp, so it is only natural that some parts will fade faster than others.

But here is why you need an expert working with magnification to see how the ink is spreading under the skin as the first few dots go in in a given area in order to assess the ideal depth for the needle and the correct pressure and timing.

Go figure how a guy with a week's training knows but maybe If you know what to look for, you know what is what and what to do about it.

So what did Matt do that she didn't do, and at 15 days aren't you being a little premature calling it a success? Or was her work already vanishing at the fifteen day mark?

Trust me, I've been on (promotional link removed by moderator) since MARCH OF 2011.

I know a little something. I was probably the most prepared client HIS has ever had.

There is ALWAYS going to be initial fading after your treatments. The dots will shrink as the phagocytes slowly eat away at the ink. But of course YOU WOULDNT KNOW THAT because you haven't lived on (removed) for 22 months. You're just another bald guy slamming something in hopes of feeling better about NOT going through with something. Instead of taking a chance, you're going to be nasty and negative. Good for you! I hope that helps you sleep at night.

With that said, I'm not a total mark. I'm very sure I will need a touch up within 5-8 years. I can't see how this tattoo will hold up for years and years considering it is at such shallow layer of the dermis.

    Pz, my scarred-up-bald bro

  4. I'm bumping this to let everyone know that HIS Hair Clinic FINALLY opened their Chicago clinic in October.

I was going insane waiting. It was to open April/May but was pushed back to July then September and, finally, October.

    I have had three threatments.

    October 22nd

    October 27th

    December 8th

Ranbir did my first two. She did an amazing job at laying the base and filling my scalp with density.

My crown faded, and practitioner Matt hooked up me on the third treatment. That one has held... so far! It's been about 15 days.

I wish everyone luck and confidence if they decide to go with the shaved head look!

  5. Hey Scar5, this HIS Hair Clinic finally opened the Chicago clinic in October.

They've rotated two practitioners since October, and in January they'll have a full-time practitioner in Chicago.

I've had three treatments so far - October 22nd & 27th and on December 8th.

The first two were layering a base, and the crown faded, but that was expected.

The third treatment finally nailed it, and I haven't had an serious fading in my crown.

I have pictures, just hit me up if you're interested.

    All my best,

    Mike

  6. Scar5,

GoodLookInk is saying that if you have EXISTING HAIR, then the treatment will improve your look... however, if you are a very bald NW7 with only horseshoe hair, then you'll have that "Five Oclock Shadow".

So Scar5, if you have hair all over that is just thinning... Then you can keep your existing hair and not shave/buzz it everyday.

However, if you are a extremely bald with no hair on top, you'll need to shave/buzz it everyday.

HIS Hair also says the thing...

But if you have an receding and have the tattoo go outside of your natural hair, of course you shouldn't/can't keep your hair at a normal length... it would look silly.

    Hope that helps. Pz

  7. hounddog,

I sent you a PM but I wanted other lurkers to know that HIS Hair Clinic is opening a clinic in Chicago in January.

I am really active on their forum (by the same username). If you happened to get it done, you should really post pics on this forum so folks can see MHT isn't all that bad ;P

In my opinion, HIS Hair is the best micro-tattoo practitioners out there. Everyone else is really obscure and shady with their practices (Good Look Ink, Headstyl, Artistry Concepts). I even sent a request to AC earlier this year and that "Gale" woman was pretty rude and inconsiderate. She basically told me that AC is the best in the world and because I had reveiewed other clinics, I am not a qualified candidate.

    Anyways, best of luck!

    -Mike

  8. I am actually interested in this procedure, but call me an old cynic, I mean what 'real client’ would be posting on an internet forum within minutes of having the procedure done at the studio in question. The whole story smells rather fishy to me. Hence for that reason I will not be going anywhere near Artistry Concepts.

This now leaves 2 other companies who I have come across, His Hair Clinic (Birmingham) and Headstyle (Spain) who carry out this kind of work. Both of them have pictures on their sites, some of which actually look quite good, none the less I would want to meet their REAL clients before I make a decision of any kind.

Does anyone have any REAL personal experience in regards to either of these companies?

I agree totally... you can't sign in as a guest. You actually have to create an account with a real e-mail, etc. etc.

  9. NewHairPlease,

Instead of answering your question directly, I encourage you to read the Hair Loss Q&A Blog written by Coalition member Dr. Jerry Cooley on "Taking Propecia Every Other Day for Hair Loss". While you've asked about taking it twice a day, this article includes important information about what the "half-life" of Propecia really means. I trust that this will help you make an informed decision on how to take finasteride.

    Best wishes,

    Bill

    Thanks for the link!

I've learned something new. (Even though my doc said once-a-day, it's informative to read about another "specialized" doc's opinion.)

  10. and in my opinion go to a drmatologist that doesnt offer HT's dont go to another HT doc either, cos im sure the advice you get will be, dont stress lets just repair it or add more grafts etc etc, the last thing i want is more scars from trying to repair etc etc quit while im ahead haha a...head lol , i went to an ht doc and all they wanted to do was not help but cut cut cut and more more more,

    Yikes.

This is absolutely awful... how can these people sleep and feel good knowing that've damaged someone because they not are properly trained?

I could careless if I made someone sign an agreement prior to surgery.

A signature approval =/= mental scarring and emotional distress for life

  11. Dr. Loria has always taken care of all his patients. His results are excellent and always above par. Those who 'bash' Dr. Loria always remain anonymous...you must wonder why? Because if, and only if there were a patient who was unhappy with his results, Dr. Loria would have corrected any problem - if there was one. Call Dr. Loria or schedule a consultation and see for yourself the superior results and work ethic he abides to.

    #fail

LOL - you weirdo. Great way to attract negative attention to your shady business.

  12.

Why should a 65-year-old person be less concerned about his appearance than anyone else?

While I know what you are getting at, the OP is just generalizing... considering his(the doc's) age and all.

When someone is 65, it's acceptable that he's balding. No one goes around saying, "OMG, LOOK AT THAT BALDING 65 YEAR OLD MAN! LOL"

But people do go around saying things like, "OMG, that kid is balding?! How old is he? 20?"

  13. Hey there HairyWS,

If you still have decent coverage... BUZZ IT! Buzz it but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use rogaine and have your "normal" dermatologist prescribe finasteride.

You can maintain the hair you have now and go after treatments in the future that are going to be a lot more advance.

Goodluck and stay in touch, man!
