  1. Taking a trip back there would be nice. Have you seen what the air fares are from DC to Vancouver? Around $800. Ouch

I honestly don't remember having a definite plan but you can't tell me that my result is acceptable on any level. And no, I don't think my transplant looks natural. Do you think it does based on the pics lI send, I suspect no as well.

And as for what I want to do next? I have no idea. What if he offers another transplant, I have it and the then that one doesn't work out either?

  2. orlhair thats actually the best advice ive had since I started this blog. It seems others on here are quick to blame for me for my poor results. But the truth of the matter is it is only Dr. Wong and I that can come to some kind of consensus.

After I sent the last pics to Dr. Wong he asked that I wait until I reached the 14 month mark before I send him more. He felt it would thicken more by then.

Should I wait until then to contact him? I don't see this improving in the next month and half.

Mars the scar is ok, thank God

  3. NewHair, maybe he put in 4200 but based on my results I don't think I got anywhere near that. What grows is what counts. I'm surprised to hear you think that's what I got. I don't see how you or anyone besides myself or the Dr. can judge that from viewing a few photos.

Anyway, thanks for all your input. My plan is to go to him now and express my dissatisfaction. I'm surprised Jotronic didn't comment. He was on last night and always usually commented on my blogs earlier on. Very strange.......

  4. Aaron you're misreading. I never said this was a final result. All Im saying is that I don't think the result is adequate based on number of graphs I received. I don't think I got 4200, maybe 2500 tops. I don't know what happened and only Dr. Wong can probably answer this.

I told him I wanted to look good and younger. I wanted to be able to comb my hair.

Do you think any reputable Dr. would want his patient to turn out like this? Come on, the man has down probably hundreds if not thousands of these. He knows what looks good. gimme a break.

The fact that Dr. Wong has kept saying all these months that "keep waiting and it will thicken" leads me to believe he is not satisfied with my result either.

At this point I would really like to get more comments from different people.

  5. Ok I just took some additional pics. I think you will all see that this didn't turn out. I don't know why this happened. I did everything Dr. Wong suggested. Ive been taking a liquid vitamin, reduced my stress, eating a balanced healthy diet, exercising, taking propecia.

Compare my pre opt pics located in my first comment to these. Again, I cannot grow it out because I don't have the density to support a longer hairstyle.

And for your information Aaron 1234 this is my second procedure. My first procedure was back in 1998 for 600 graphs. In addition, I don't plan on running out and spending another $15000 until I determine whether I received adequate results from this one. I don't believe I did.

The question is what should I do now????

  6. Well here are my one year photos with Dr. Wong. I had surgery on 11/15/2010. I am also attaching my pre opt picture taken at his office.

I would appreciate any feedback. Honestly, I don't think it turned out at all. I had 4200 graphs. I don't think thats what took hold.

The density is lacking. I've tried to grow it long but I don't have the density to support any decent hairstyle.

    :(

  7. you can wear a hat to work? Like I've said in other posts, wearing a hat to work only magnifies the problem. People are going to wonder why is this guy wearing a hat? gee maybe he had a lobotomy.

    people aren't that naive man.

Do you work in a fast food restaurant?

  8. The redness in my recipient area went down quickly. As advised by Dr. Wong to ensure proper healing, I took and am still taking a liquid vitamin B complex vitamin. I would say after the 7th day, I had no more redness in the recipient area however it's a different story for the donor area. It's still red! Not paintful just pinky red.

I did go to work one week after surgery and w/o a hat. It was the week of Thanksgiving so thankfully (no pun intended) the office was deserted.:D

  9. Jo,

I hope you're right, but I am skeptical. In 1998 I had about 500 graphs and they grew in rapidly, I would say within 3 months. I just hope what little has grown in is not the final result, but it seems that way.

As for toppik, I use just a tiny amount, just to thicken what little I have. A 30 day supply usually lasts me 6-8 months.

I'll post another photo in 2-3 weeks.
