  1. Hi everyone, rookie question here. As I understand it, one proposed way nizoral works with rogaine is by removing sebum from the scalp, allowing the minoxodil to penetrate deeper. If this is the case, should I follow the nizoral with conditioner, which can oil up the scalp? Just used the nizoral for the first time and was wondering. If it matters, I use that thicker fuller hair conditioner. Thanks all!
  2. Hi all, quick question. How short can you cut your hair after a HT without people noticing the change in density? Reason I ask is that I'm in the military. I can afford to get away with my hair being close to 1.5" long without catching a crazy amount of trouble. I know it depends on how dense the grafts are placed, so let's say I get the maximum density that a surgeon might comfortably do, considering i am about a NW2/3. Also, how short can you have your hair without the donor scar showing? Thanks guys!
  3. From what I understand its a legality thing. Because it was only tested in the vertex region they can only claim that it works on vertex hair loss. However, as you've read, it does work for other areas in some people. Personally, I've been using rogaine for my vertex and temples since July, and while my hairloss has dramatically improved in the vertex, I'm only experiencing peach fuzz growth in the temples. However, i see both of these as highly positive results, seeing how the "expected" results are usually confined to minimizing or halting loss. So the short answer to your question is that it varies from person to person, but you'll never know if you dont try. As for the dosage, you kinda have to play with what works. I've found i use a little over half a cap. If you cool the bottle before you use it it seems to go farther.
  4. Excellent! That is very exciting news. Now, can a HT surgeon implant new hairs around these ones after they've grown into real hair, assuming I get decent growth but not quite the density I would like? Thanks so much for your help in this!
  5. Hi everyone, I've been a lurker on the forums for some time now, and figured it was time to join the discussion! I'm 23, and judging from family photos I started losing my hair at about 18. I've only become highly self conscious about it within the last year. I've got mostly a receeding hairline, but a small amount of crown thinning too. Anyways, I've been using rogaine foam for 4 months and generic finasteride for about 2 months. Just the other day I was looking closely at the bald skin on my high temples and noticed tiny, tiny blonde hairs, like peach fuzz, on the skin. I don't know if they've always been there, but if so I've never noticed them before. Has anyone experienced this? I know rogaine isn't "supposed" to regrow a receeding hairline, and the area the peach fuzz covers is quite large, but I would like to hope that this is real, new hair. Am I simply being naive? I appreciate all input.
