  5. Hi everybody, Here comes my 4 months update (Pic taken with and without flash). 2800 grafts by Dr Radha. Quite few number of hairs have grown substantially long but wispy in texture. Didn't see any growth to the rest of the hairs yet. Is it normal in this stage? Should I expect those wispy hairs to be thicken up in coming months? I'm currently taking Biotin 10000mcg, Multi mineral, Vitamin B complex and Cod liver Oil daily. Any other thing should I intake? Your valuable advise would be very much appreciated. Thanks folks :-)
  6. Thanks people :-) I just got a bit upset as its been three months already. Your replies just cheer me up. Still long way to go. Btw my scalp (where hair has been transplanted) gets very oily. Is it normal? Is there any product that could help reduce the oil?
  7. Btw total number of grafts are 2800. Thanks.

  10. Hi Everybody It's been exactly 3 months since I underwent HT by Dr Radha. I ain't satisfied with the hair growth so far. There are wispy hair here and there but they lack thickness and I ain't sure if they are growing fast enough like my native hair. I am on Biotin 1000 mcg, taking multi minerals twice a day as well as Aloe Vera gel. I use bandana while I am out. What do you think of my progress people? I am very much anxious. It would be very much appreciable if you guys give me you opinions. Should I expect hair to be thinner in the coming months? I don't know what to do right now. Any other medicine that would help me for the hair to have more volume. I seek your opinion. Please help me out. Thanks

  13. Hi guys: It's been 2 months since I've undergone FUT surgery by Dr. Radha. 2800 grafts were implanted- I forgot the count of singles and doubles. I'm worried about the hair growth. There are few places in the transplanted scalp where I've no visible hair. Should I suppose to look like this after 2 months? Am I progressing well? I need experts review on this. I use to put Bandana while I go out-7/8 hrs a day. Does this hinder my hair growth in any way? Some said adequate light and air is required for the hair to grow. I am taking Biotin 10000 (Ten thousand) and Multi minerals everyday and use dandruff shampoo to clear my scalp. Any other tips you would like to give to me for my hair growth? Your feedback is highly appreciable. Thanks everybody.

  15. Hi guys is it safe to drive 10 days post op? Does it have any effect on stretching of scar at the back?
  16. Hi everybody I've undergone HT surgery by Dr. Radha on Nov 6th. I'm now in 11 days post surgery. Dr. advised me to use regular shampoo daily once after 15 days to wash off my hair and remove scabs. Which regular shampoo should be best to use 15 days post op? I've heard some bad reviews about Nizoral shampoo. It dries out the scalp causing hair to fall. Any other shampoo you would like to advise to use? Thanks.
  17. Hi guys, I am planning to undergo HT by Dr Radha. I'd like to hear from the people who underwent HT by the Doc. Any advise would be highly appreciable in this regard. I am really concern about the shockloss to my native hair post surgery. I ain't comfortable in taking finasteride considering the side effects so is there any other alternate medicine to prevent shockloss? Is there any side effect of Saw palmetto? Thanks.
  18. Hello everybody. I am planning to undergo HT and will be required around 4-4.5 k grafts. I just wanted to know how long it will take to transplant 4000-4500 grafts in a strip method? Does it depend on the skill of the Doc and his team? I heard from a reputed Doctor in this forum that it's going to take roughly around 12-14 hrs for that much of grafts to transplant in a strip method. If the time is less that does mean proper attention is not given to the individual follicle that will result higher transection rate. I mean there would be higher chance of all the follicles to not survived if it's done less than the aforementioned time frame. Would you guys please enlighten me on this? Regards, Nmshams

  20. Hi everyone, I am planning to have hair transplantation in next month. I am 30 and MPB of NW3a. I'll be getting married later this year so I'm really concerned about taking Finasteride post surgery. As I've heard it will affect libido and causing lesser erection. Is it's affect permanent or If I stop taking the medicine will it come back to normal? On the other hand if I don't take it hair growth would be 15-35% lesser after the surgery. Is there any alternate medicine that has the same result without the side effects? I'm in a great dilemma . Please guys help me out on this with your feedback.

  24. Thanks for your replies guys. Actually I am a bit confused about the no. of grafts require to have a illusion of full coverage. As mentioned in previous post I want to lowering the hairline 2 cm down; would this be a good approach? Thanks, Shams
  25. Dear forum members, I am a new member in this forum. I must congratulate the owner of this informative site, we may go nowhere if this doesn't exist. Btw I am Shams (26 M) having a hair loss pattern NW3. My hair has been receding since I was 21 and continues till 25. Luckily I've no hair loss problem for last 1.5 yrs (it seems to be stabilized). I ain't into any kind of medicines/medications considering the side effects of those. Now I am planning to have my HT done and am doing a lot of research regarding this as it is indeed a life changing decision. Would anyone experienced/doc enlighten me on the following issue I've for my HT. I'd be extremely grateful. 1. I want to lower my hairline around 2 cm down as am having a broad forehead (3") and have good density in donor hair. should I be more conservative on this? I had full head of hair in early days. My aim from the HT is to lowering the hairline a bit and fill the temple areas. What would be the total no. of grafts need to be transplanted in order to have a appearance/illusion of full density. 2. There are lots of coalition docs in this site. Whom should I take advice from? I am really looking for a doc who speaks from his heart and suggest the best for me (considering the future also). 3. Is it mandatory to take propecia (for shockloss)/minoxidil? Without these medicines can I expect good hair from HT and how long I've to be away from intense exercises (lifting heavy weights) after surgery? Any thoughts on this is highly appreciable. N.B. Pics attached for convenience. Thanks, Shams
