Is finisteride exactly the same as Proscar but by a different manufacturer? Is it cheaper? Does Nioxin moisterise the hair or does it also leave it rather dry?

Hi, I haven't had a HT or taken any medication for my hair loss just yet. However, I had a general query... For past few years I have tended to shampoo my hair very carefully in the area I have most hairloss (top and frontal areas). Almost dabbing the shampoo in. The reason for this is whenever I try to massage the shampoo in as most of the recommended instructions on shampoos, I find that I end up with a load of hairs dropping out and stuck to my hands... just the sight of this really blows my morale and confidence as it feels like my hair is falling out in my fingertips... I'm sure hair is also falling out when I lightly dab the shampoo on my hair but at least I am not seeing it so it kind of isn't so bad. My question is, what do you recommend on how you should apply the shampoo? I am thinking of going onto Nizoral and Proscar, do you think a good test to see if these are effective is to visually compare the results of how much hair ends up in my fingers after massaging the shampoo into the scalp before and after say 3-4 months of using the medication and shampoo? Hi, I am in my early 30's and have only just started looking into HT's. I have read the many posts on here comparing FUT vs FUE methods. I am still in the arly stages of my decision making process (infact I haven't even discussed the possibility of going for a HT with my wife just yet)... I have seen some interesting views expressed by Dr A Cole who has pioneered his own versoin of FUE (called CIT): See his views on FUT vs FUE: 1) Is there anyone who has had the CIT procedure done from Dr A Cole? If so, what was your experience / results? 2) What do the HT experts on this site think of Dr A Cole's claims? 3) How come there is little metion of Dr A Cole on this site whereas some of the other HT sites seem to have a much bigger following? 4) Have the moderators reviewed Dr A Cole's clinic, any recommendations / reviews? Hi, I have seen many posts on here about Proscar and had a few queries: 1) I am based in the UK, and am considering using Proscar, however, due to some of its side effects, do you recommend I consult someone before taking it? If so who should I consult? Is it something my GP would know about and be willing to discuss? Or can I speak to one of the HT experts on here and carryout an online consultation? 2) Those that have used Proscar, can you provide me with your opinions on its effectiveness? 3) Which website would you recommend I buy from in terms of best price and who will deliver to the UK? 4) Since you have to break the tablet up into smaller pieces, is it eay to break the tablet up or do you end up crushing it? 5) How may pieces should you divide a 5mg tablet into, is it 5?
