  1. I got an FUT, lols the only drawbacks is that u cant follow certain hairstyle, especially the one that are in right now... with shaved sides , tried once to go on setting 2 on the blades and the hairstylist was asking me were u in accident lols.. told him i got a hair transplant... he said he didnt believe it... however my hair are thinning now since it was due for 2nd ht , i am also considering FUT or FUE, another advantages that i really got from FUT was that its almost like a facelift, i certainly noticed the tightness around the face area after the surgery and almost everyone commented i looked a lot younger (even when my hair is still fuzzy)
  2. im more to urban traveller kind of guy, if you are into temples and cultural sightseeing chiangmai might be ok, not for shopping etc. u cant party since your head will be swollen or go do guys activities , the pain will go away after first day, but the swelling will last about a week or so, i would suggest you stay about 2-3 nights, that would suffice unless u want to travel to outskirts like chiang rai etc but there are floods so i dont really know whether its safe to travel. go search for news, if possible just travel to other country or take ur time resting somewhere. are u from sg as well? bring your laptops and ipads or any other electronics , wifi is free at the hotel and its safe enough to keep in the room.
  3. i just had mine done also 3100 grafts, thanks to bro roger for its photo and experience which he shared with me...., which gives me encouragement to go ahead. Dr Pong and its staff is very kind and attentive, only thing i wished i have chosen a much lower hairline. he is very conservative in choosing the hairline. well maybe he know better. i am quite impulsive so i didnt think much of the hairline design, if you are going... a tip , take your time in drawing your preferred hairline. dont stay too long in Chiang mai, should have copied roger to just stay for 2 days. cause there is nothing much to see in chiangmai, its really a very small town and nothing to shop either unless you are into traditional crafts.
  4. hi, joining the topic. just booked with dr pong this month OP.... hows the operation and anyone actually had a personal experience with ex patients that had good success? SG also...

  7. I am an asian descent, this year 30 years old. i have been fighting hairloss since 19. throughout i have been using medication from herbal to chemical based. i used to dye my hair a lot , bleaching it and used to party way too many times. it was the trigger for my hairloss. all my cousins have lost their hair up to their crown, i am the last surviving member haha... i am seeking for any suggestion of doctor in india or pakistan to go to, since they are economically feasible on my side. please help enlighten me, how many grafts should i need and which doctor to go. again thanks for all the advises and comments.
  8. yeah will post my picture today to get more opinions on how many grafts , dr path his result are not bad however the pricing are a bit out of my budget. i am actually more inclined to do with dr madhu, but im still in between choices. been thinking 3 years to get or not to get HT, now after deciding to go for it spending another 6months just to decide which doctor to go. i just dont want to go with a procedure with a result that i regret.

  10. Hi all fellow travellers in hairy world haha, after reading almost all in the forums, i am beginning to be more and more confused of which surgeon to use for my hair transplant. i am intending to repair back my hairline, i am a norwood 3 asian heritage . i am actually planning to have my surgery in july. i actually wanted to try Dr A, since the reviews are so great from the other forum. however the moderators and few of seniors forum members have made me to take more time to consider my options. i saw dr humayuns pictures, though his prices are reasonably economical however his result is not what i have in mind. Another Dr. Madu, i am impressed by his result and was again skeptical after seeing some bad comments on the forum. i am even seeking for doctors in other countries such as phillipines, which i found a few however quite reluctant because the lack of review or reputation. i have been quoted 2200 -2500 grafts, but in phillipines a doctor quoted me 1500. my choice of doctors are in asia, due to my current funds limitation. however of course just like any other people. i would like to seek for kind guidance to deter from any bad HT. my questions to fellow hairloss peer is it normal for norwood 3 to have 2200 graft , or 1500 is enough which doctor you would recomment based on economical vs result again i seek your kind experiences. cheers...
