I have noticed when i stop propecia and my hair starts to fall out i get really bad itching on my scalp...is there anyway to make it better or stop this ?

I have noticed when i stop propecia and my hair starts to fall out i get really bad itching on my scalp...is there anyway to make it better or stop this ?

I have decided to also quit Propecia and Monoxidil. I have been using both since Dec '06 and i thought i was ok until recently... I previously made a post on here about possible side effects and my Neurologist telling me i have enlarged chambers in my brain and i was to stop both of these hair loss drugs. I thought he was crazy but i have been off these drugs now for a few weeks and already feel like a new man. I now have to accept the fact and go bald. My health is much more important than hair.

Ok i have been having some problems for the past few months... headaches, eye redness/pain, and fatigue. I started taking Monoxidil and Propecia back in december of last year. Today i had a doctors appt after complaining of headaches/eye problems and had previously got an MRI of my brain done. This doctor is telling me i have enlarged chambers of the brain and i should STOP all hairloss drugs. ok... is this guy nuts or should i take his advice?? I have had really nice hair growth over these months but my health/life is more important to me than hair, HOWEVER i would like to have hair and if these drugs are not the problem and i quit them its gone...what should i do? Do you think these hairloss drugs are the problem?

I recently wrote to GlaxoSmithKline asking about Avodart and its use for hairloss and got this response: Thank you for contacting GlaxoSmithKline about AVODART?® (dutasteride). GSK will not be pursuing further studies on the use of dutasteride for AGA (alopecia - male pattern hair loss). This decision is based on market research analyses and not for any safety or efficacy reasons. wonder why this is?
