So is that a good thing that they survived the HT? or these going to fall out as well and take longer to come back?

Im 5 weeks out and im starting to see tiny little black hair come through. Is it possible these are new ones coming through? or these just ones that have not fallen out since the HT? The only thing is I have been looking in the mirror 20 times a day since the ht, and I thought I would have noticed this but maybe not. Maybe it is just wishful thinking wich is really weird for me. It almost looks like the little hairs that show up after a few day without shaving, but sparatic, by no means is there alot of coverage. I did also loose my ht hairs with in the 1st 10 days. The majority anyway. Anyone with a similar experience?

Well I had some lab work done because of loss of sex drive, weight, energy, and I guess my test levels are well below average. We talked about test therapy and the fact that i'm on propecia and he said that i should quit taking propecia. That would be much easier than taking testosterone injections. The problem is I am actually noticing a big difference since i have been taking the propecia. (8 months). A big enough difference not to quit taking it. My question is could I give my lab work to a HT surgeon and have him write me out a scpipt for testosterone therapy?

Dr. Rose has some very happy patients who post here. I can;t keepeveryone straight, but I know one of them will chime in soon with support based on their experience.

Almost 11 months to the day and I got ANOTHER INGROWN HAIR in the transplanted region.

 

Guys, don't lose faith if your HT isn't growing in as quickly as you'd hoped. I seem to still be filling in. COOL!

 

Only a month now to the 2nd HT via FIT. Very exciting!

I am a Norwood 3A. I have met many doctors

and almost all have told me 1500-2000 grafts

are required in the frontal and hairline region.

Hairline reconstruction is requied.

 

I am struggling on deciding between H&W and

Shapiro Med group. Dr. Shapiro is only

available in February. Matt is able to

get me in with Dr. Charles or Dr. Keene sooner.

I prefer going in for treatment in the next

2 weeks because of the coming holidays,

but do want to make the best decision for

my hair and go to the best.

 

My questions :

 

1.) Given my needs - max 2000 grafts frontal and hairline who is a better doctor between Dr. Hasson and Dr. Wong .

 

I know that this is a tough one to answer but

your opinion is valuable for me.

 

2.) At The Shapiro Clinic, are Dr. Charles and

Dr. Keene almost as good as Dr. Shapiro ? Sorry, not "almost" but are they as good?

 

Does anybody see compelling reasons for me to

wait for my appointment with Dr. Shapiro?

 

I am in San Jose so I will have to fly no matter

whom I decide to go with.

When you apply rogaine do you apply it on the grafted area? I hope so. Im about 14 days post op and just started taking rogaine with my propecia and when i apply it to my grafted area (hair line) ALOT of my hair started to fall out. I hope this is normal. Could someone please let me know? Thanks again fellas.

Just keep using the graftycyte pads to aid the healing and try to keep from touching the scabs. The scabs do not need to be "helped along".

I was told to help the scabs along, but gently, and the more stubborn scabs will fall off in time. My doctors post-op instructions stated that many of the transplanted hairs will fall off with the scabs. As they did in my case. So I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Im seven days post from my HT and just started today helping my scabs off by using the pads of my fingers Very lightly. Now I beleive what were coming off were scabs but (kinda gross) i took a close look at what was coming off and on some of the scabs, little hairs were in there. So does anyone know if this normal and its just the normal shedding post op or is this something i have to worry about? Thanks allot
