From what I've heard Propecia doesn't seem to help too much with the receding hairline in front. Am I correct on this guys? Might want to try Minoxidal (sp). Also, I would definately continue using Propecia. You are lucky that you just have a receding hairline with no crown loss. IMO guys with receding hairlines look just fine as they get older, it's just natural. But guys with just the crown thinning or balding looks a little bit awkward.

Hello all, I have been patrolling this forum for a while. You all seem like very logical and truthful people around here which brings me to my point. I'm only 20 years old but I started taking Proscar - Split 5 ways at first, now recently I take that amount or less every other day. I started taking it in early March. I started taking it because everyone EVERYONE on my Father's side is bald or mostly bald. I also noticed thinning on the top and crown a bit. So I took the leap and starting taking it. I guess I am one of those people that get the side effects. Most of you are older, therefore (don't take this the wrong way at all because we will all face it) your Libido and strength of erection might not be what it was when you were 20. But I have definately noticed an incredible loss of libido and I am sure this is not mental because within the day of taking the dose - I still find hot girls hot - but it takes a lot more work to get it up then before I started taking it. It has even lead to the point where I have become embarrased to have sex with girls because of this lack of strength and libido. Do you say I should wait it out? I don't want to lose my hair but I don't want to stop doing like a bunny rabbit like we all did at my age. Should I wait it out another 3-9 months? or would you consider the side effects not worth it at my age. It really is the lesser of two evils for me. Thanks for any input!
