  1. Wow, we will just miss each other by the weekend. I am seeing Paul on October 8th! And I agree with you on Matt. He has been instrumental in my decision and very patient with me. This will be my 1st HT and I am scared as heck!!! to put it mildly
  2. I sorry to hear that for what ever reason. If your hair is at NW6 or 7 or heading there, yes start propecia and other stuff however, keep reading and I am sure you have...It will noy make it come back. Just stop it and may create some peach fuz...Now all this coming from someone who is still learning and I thank God for the internet which allows us all this great information when we are faced with life changing situations, ie HT.....the only reason why I am responding is cause you made comment about Shapiro being the best. I hear that too, and have an appt for October 8th and honestly am beside my self to go. I am a little older, 39, so I can see where you are coming from with holding off till 35?????? Or maybe not. Keep investigating...I know the biggest problem for me was $$$$$$. I have a 3rd party helping me and for that thankful. I will be in debit to her for 3 years now but its my lovely mother ...There are some many decisicions here when making this huge leap!!!! Best of luck!
  3. Scott james posted a question about how many grafts he would need for his HT. Dr Ahamd posted that if you are a smoker you may run into problems....Here is my question? I am a smoker and have been for 7 years. I am quitting now and so far preety succesful. Down to maxiumum of 5 a day. My appt is in October and by the middle of August hope to be completely quit. Now, if I am sucesful and have quit for at least 1.5 months......Should I experience any problems??????? I only ask this question cause of the response I read on that post....thanks again

  5. I am 39 years old.....started loosing in my crown when is was 24ish and then my frontal area about 29 and over the last 10 years both areas have lost alot more. I just started propecia 3 weeks ago
  6. last one. combed my hais up so it looks crazy!
  7. Made my deposit today with SMG in Mn. Date is October 8th and I know it will be here faster than I know it. Thank you very much for all the answers some of you have provided me with....if we are able to get at minimum 2500 grafts FUT method, I am hoping it will give me the density I will be OK with. I am being realistic with my goals so I believe so....

  9. Ok Dr Charles....thanks for making matters worse...lol......i do understand that not all cases go the way expected...I here you are the one to see in that clinic though
  10. Yes that is what Matt and I discussed at Shapiro...realistic goals....Jon and i never even talked about that at Epstein......I am just really really really glad I decided to comb this forum today. I would have discovered this before the 23rd anyhow I am sure...3 days ago, i didnt see any of these bad experiences or I just missed them or they just surfaced...anyrate, Shapiro it is and I did find out that Paul will be doing my surgery. I seem to be OK with that cause they both appear to be top notch...thanks for responding
  11. I posted a topic the other day about how excited I was about going to Dr Epstein in October....I am now second guessing cause of what I have been reading. My other option was Shapiro Medical in Mn. I have been in contact with Matt who handles the consultations. I was going with epstein cause he was closer to home. I have not made any deposit yet and was going to on july 23rd, this weds. please help me make my decision with some insight. I think Shapiro is now the only choice for me...anyone?
