Please take a look at my pics and let me know if I am a good candidate for a HT. I have been watching this forum for awhile now, but I am really confused if it would be a good idea for me. I am not even sure if I took the pictures the best way to get the best opinion, so if I didn't let me know.. Thanks to anyone who offers help.

Hello to everyone on the board. I am wondering what is the best way for me to seek advice about my current hair-loss in terms of possibly getting a HT done. I have been taking generic propecia for over 2 years now and I have seen no results at least in terms of new hair-growth. I am not even sure if its slowed down my hair-loss, but I would say it hasn't. Should I just post some pics here for some opinions?? I am really ready to start taking steps, but I want to the opinions of others who have seen this process and know if I might be a good candidate or not.. Please offer me some help..

Considering An HT -- but in need of good advice
zerosum replied to zerosum's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Is there anyone here I could send some pics of my follically challenged head too? I have been taking Fin 1/4 for almost 5 months with ZERO results, and I really have been struggling with making a decision on if I should get an HT or not. My biggest concern is will I come out looking good with my hair type and hairloss pattern, or will I just muck things up even worse! My second biggest concern is how many HT's will I need if I am even a good candidate. I already sent pics to H&W and they suggested 3500-4000 for my current situation. Can they really make a good judgment just by looking at some pics? I would love to hear what some very seasoned people have to say say about my big bald head! The one great part about my situation is I work from home, so I wouldn't have that issue of trying to hide it from co-workers etc! That really is the least of my concern though.. ANYONE ANYONE!! HELP! -

Ok I tried to upload images but they were too big, so I just posted them on the blog below. Ok guys give me a honest opinion could I achieve a good result. Opinions on my donor area would be great too and what anyone thinks of my hair thickness for fullness capability if I get a HT. http://smartcharts29.blogspot.com

Yes L'Anoyme you make good points. I don't think I would be a good FUE candidate. Is there anyone here who would be willing to take a look at my pics and give me a good idea on what my expectations should be?

Ok, I am still early in all my research on HT and considering all options. First I am going to start taking Propecia to slow it down (I am 30 norwood 4-5ish). I have been looking at Dr. Rassman and here is why. He does the stars in Hollywood and is a big plus for me. If they trust his work then he must be good. Also, he does FUE which should help to keep the scaring at a minimum instead of one gigantic strip. What if the transplant doesn't give me the results I want, well with FUE at least I can shave my head still and look reasonably decent. I know he costs more then Wong, but this is my head and I will have it for life and I want the best. What do yo u guys think? Any feedback is appreciated I am very early in my research and fact gathering.

I have a few questions for you guys with some knowledge on the HT subject. I am about 30 and currently a NW 5a. I am considering using Hasson for my first HT and he is reccomending 3500 to 4000 grafts to cover the front 1/2 to 2/3 of my scalp, but possibly he will not be able to address the crown in the first session, but he said it depends on the final number of grafts and how myself and Dr. Wong agree on the distribution of the grafts. I really would like to get this HT done once at least for now, so should I push for more grafts? Also, I am flying in from out of town, so I don't know if I can stay for 10 days to have them remove the staples. Where do you guys go to get them out once you are home? Will the scar from the staples be there forever? I have some many questions and I am still early in the research stage, but I will start with these.
