Regular Member Chops Posted November 20, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted November 20, 2008 I think I may have 6000 grafts in my donor available for extraction, however I also think I may end up as a NW7 (currently NW4/5). Should I go with a HT now or am I shooting myself in the foot for the future? In other words can a NW4a who has 3000 FUs now in the frontal half still achieve an acceptable natural appearance if he then progresses to NW7? My hair ccharacteristics are good, in that I have thick hair.
Regular Member TonySC Posted November 20, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted November 20, 2008 Chops, Have you met with a world class HT doctor yet ? If not I would asap. Are you taking any medicines (FIN and Rogaine) to help stop the hair loss ? I was a NW5 and just had approximately 4500 FUT's last week and I wanted to be proactive not completely reactive with my hair loss problem. Regular Member Chops Posted November 20, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 20, 2008 Hi Tony, Yes & yes. I'm hoping the meds will prevent NW7, but still want to plan for the worst. The Dr thinks I'll be ok, but still I wanted to get some patients opinions. Best of luck with your growth. chops
Senior Member TheHairLossCure Posted November 20, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 20, 2008 Chops, Talk to *several* doctors about your case. In doing so, hopefully, you will see a common thread in terms of what they say regarding your donor supply and your long term hair loss pattern.
