Regular Member markymark Posted June 30, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted June 30, 2009 So its been 11 weeks since my procedure. I had 2000 grafts done to my crown area. I'm really concerned with the density of my donor area. It's looking thin and not filling in like I thought it would. I would like to keep my hair short (that is why I got the FUE procedure) Here is a picture of my donor area. You can see the difference of where they took the hair from. A line/pattern really shows. Anyone else with a similar situation?
Senior Member Abedogg Posted July 1, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 1, 2009 Its still pretty early, but if it looks like this in a few more months i would not be happy. Who's the doc? Senior Member SERIOUS Posted July 3, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 3, 2009 Looks like shockloss in the donor area. Not uncommon. Chances are it may comeback in the next few months. You can apply minoxidil in the area to speed up growth. You should have a better idea about the outcome at the 6-8 months mark. Let us know. Good luck. Senior Member Severn Posted July 5, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 5, 2009 wow, you guys have better eyes than me. From that picture alone, if I were standing behind you in line looking at the back of your head while thinking about hair trainsplants, I still would not see anything unusual about that. And 11 weeks is a still a good bit early for the hair to recover from shock loss. Consider this guy who posted on another thread about the shock loss he incurred over a year after a 200 graft strip surgery.
