MGM
I’m not sure if this is normal but almost all of my transplanted follicles are growing. They are literally about a 1/3” long already. I know they will shed eventually but I don’t see many if any pictures online of this immediate growth in newly transplanted hair. The Dr did PRP with the transplant. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, is this a good sign that most of my transplants have survived?

Is this a good sign that I won’t lose the transplanted follicles that I see growing? That is my biggest worry.
Senior Member Chrisno Posted October 23, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted October 23, 2023 Likely a good sign. I'm not a doctor Keep in mind roughly 15% of the hairs transplanted are in the telogen phase and will not grow before they shed. That doesn't mean that specific graft is "lost", it could just be in the telogen phase. If a graft is in the telogen phase it will just shed without seeing the initial growth. 2500 FUE by Dr. Victor Hasson, June 2023
