What an odd study. For the subset of people who suffered sexual side effects, they also had reduced alcohol consumption when taking the drug, and that continued afterwards? The study size was just over 80 people and there wasn't a control group.

I'm not sure id be comfortable drawing too many conclusions based on that finding!

It’s interesting nonetheless.

Maybe this explains why some people get depressive sides from fin? Withdrawing from alcohol can be depressing on its own.

If it were a larger study, one could conclude that it's proof that fin does have a long lasting impact to mental state, even once you've stopped taking the drug.

What's odd is that they clearly asked questions about alcohol consumption before taking the medication, and this was part of a much larger study, so why didn't they provide the information on the group who didn't suffer side effects too?
