JfCopenhagen
Hi guys, I've just completed my hair transplantation performed by Dr. Bicer in Istanbul. I think there are a lot of great reviews on Dr Bicer on this forum so I won't repeat what's already been mentioned in so many reviews. However I want to emphazise what for me were the deciding factors for choosing Dr Bicer. One of my main resaons for choosing Dr Bicer was that she is a member of ISHRS and IAHRS and if you do your research you'll see that not many hair surgeons in Turkey are memebers of these associations. Another important factor is that Dr Bicer and her team only takes one patient a day. Not many clinics in Istanbul take only one patient a day. By being the only patient you feel like you're in safe hands and Dr Bicer and her team only works for you on the day of the procedure. This also means that Dr Bicer is very involved in the surgery (she does all the extraction and incesions herself). Many clinics in Turkey use technicians and the involvement of a doctor is very limited. So please do think very carefully before choosing your clinic. If you can't afford a good clinic at this point I recommend that you wait until you've saved more money. In my initial search for a clinic I reached out to several clinis and what I liked about Dr Bicer is that she gave me the most conservative graft amount to be transplanted as I am 34 yo and potantially can expect more hair loss which means I need to have enough grafts for future HTs. This shows that Dr Bicer is thinking long term and in your interests. On the day of the procedure Dr Bicer dedicated a long time to discuss and draw the hairline which was very reassuring. Also Dr Bicer's team seemed very experienced and the whole process was very smooth and efficient. I recommend reading one of the many well-written reviews of Dr Bicer if you want a more detailed description of the whole process. I also want to thank Özen who's Dr Bicer's coordinator. I stayed in a hotel 5 km away form the clinic and I thought it woundn't be a problem but during rush hour it is very difficult to find a taxi in Istanbul so on the day of the procedure Özen came to pick me up at the hotel to make sure I could show up in time. This took away a lot of stress and I think it also shows that the team actually cares about you. At this point I am only on day 2 after the procedure so it's very early days but so far I've been very please with the experience and I can't wait to see the result. Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted September 21, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted September 21, 2023 @JfCopenhagen Good to hear about your positive experience with dr bicer...she is indeed a very welcoming personality ...she takes care of each and every patient...you have gone with a good doctor my friend but i would say ishrs is a normal association where any doctor can join and iahrs is a private association and none of them matter as i have seen many bad doctors on both...actually the real thing is results and only results..nothing matters more and there are many good doctors producing very good results but they aren't affiliated with any of such organisation... But as i said you have chosen a good doctor and she is experienced ,ethical surgeon plus providing good results ..so you were under safe hands.. I hope you post your pre, immediate and post op pics so evryone can see the work...wish you all the best brother...will be following your journey closely...Happy growing and keep updating... Thanks for the info. How much did you pay per graft? And how many months in advance did you make the surgery?
JfCopenhagen
I paid 2,5 EUR per graft. When I booked the surgery the waiting list was almost a year. However I was offered an earliet slot due to a cancellation so ended up waiting like 6 months.
Regular Member DavidSheer Posted November 14, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted November 14, 2023 Nice write up. I’m also thinking of going with Dr Bicer as I’ve read many great things about her and she’s very cost effective compared to other credible European clinics. Do you have any photos?
