Hello everyone, I found the doctor on this forum and was pretty happy with many of the results on here so decided to book and perform the surgery at this clinic. I won't dive into the process that much as it was your normal one day procedure. Arrived in the clinic around 9:45 AM, left around 8 PM.

  • I have diffused hair loss, which I noticed is uncommon compared to generic MPH. I have had on and off shedding since I was 18 years old but most hair loss occurred 24-28 years old.
  • During the early years of 18-24 shedding was always around strict dieting/yoyo dieting, gaining 10-20 KG in a year then losing it every year (early gym junkie bulk cut days). When I was 18-19 I could shed massive amounts of hair but grow it all back over the next 6 months, but that stopped working when i got older.
  • Thyroid issues from 22-27, mostly due to improper nutrition like cutting out all iodized salt (doctors tried putting me on hormones which messed me up and also caused me more shedding). I partly resolved this by eating kelp but this was inconsistent, best solution was to just take thyroid supplement daily (with a constant source of iodine, selenium, tyrosine, within days my thyroid pain disappeared and it's been stable since April 2023. I cut out iodine in the past because i noticed it gave me breakouts, but didnt realize how crucial it was for thyroid. However I still don't eat iodized salt as it gives me massive breakouts (i believe its a crappy source and probably way over the RDA).
  • Getting COVID a few times gave me some of the worst shedding I ever seen in my life as it also seemed to affect my sensitive thyroid at the time.
  • Bad sleep hygiene over the years, when I stuck to sleeping 9:30 PM my energy and hair always looked best.
  • Hopping on and off fin/minoxidil many times from 18-27. FIn/Minox restored my hair really well when I was 19 as I was taking 1.25mg a day.

I believe the above factors have contributed to the diffused hairloss pattern I have, and in the past two years I noticed it is just looking more like male pattern hair loss, especially when my crown started to thin out.

I been currently taking 1.25mg fin for 4 weeks, and will resume top Minox in a few weeks after healing (been on it last 3 months this time).

Hoping to update as much as I can, I'm hoping my surgery works out, as I still have some natural hairs to blend in with, and my temples have not receded which I value a lot now after seeing some nightmare posts on here about temple restoration.

Thank you yes it does and the angling of the grafts matches the current hair, instead of sticking up it’s been grafted like the pic below, should be able to get some decent density

Day 5 and my scabs started to come off, I continued light massaging with my fingers, took a few washes with the foam conditioner and shampoo they give you. No bleeding. The foam you leave in for upto 30 min. I did notice plenty of shafts come off which I suspect is normal.. I’m very happy with how it looks currently hair looks thicker than ever and no alarming gaps.

how’s my donor looking? 303FA12F-1ADE-44DC-B2CF-6F857CB9C47A.thumb.jpeg.fb5727e3aa045cbe1c2d4632924a2491.jpeg64FFDBDD-36D8-41F1-8FD4-CEF92EE1FDA0.thumb.jpeg.9003d5f6ba73e1cf62ba94a4ba301bac.jpeg12D643F3-58C4-41A9-B8EE-2D60C61658BB.thumb.jpeg.d87868f237729d3026f72c70a1a96727.jpeg1B97F728-5B72-4167-A0DB-32B8AC47C0E4.thumb.jpeg.da44c9fba80c1aeab12d96ae2b942583.jpegE46414DF-ED47-47E4-8827-92146F457206.thumb.jpeg.94ef01bab45643ca0b6388aa15658c95.jpeg

Yeh this is absolutely normal and most of them will fall off to make a way for the new ones...

Can see shockloss on donor which is normal..Donor takes more time to heal completely..it will gradually get better with time and all the grafts which got miniaturized or fell off will grown back again...

Happy growing and keep updating brother

I didn't know shock loss could start so early in donor, and recipient area (less than a week), thanks for reassuring me though, lets see this growth...

How you getting on mate?

Day 12 update

Hair has begun shedding hard since day 7, so it’s starting to look patchy. Hopefully early shed means early growth.

The grafts in the recipient area look a bit indented into the scalp and some look bumpy, but hoping it will heal up and return smooth.

I’ve had a few dead ingrown hairs in the scalp which I managed to pull out using tweezers and my phone camera zoomed in. I thought they were bad placed grafts at first but the camera made it obvious.

Donor area is looking fine I think but clear shock loss especially on the sides . Have also shed some hair from the back as I noticed when running my hands through it.

The itchyness is still driving me crazy, both in recipient and donor but mainly in the donor area, it’s getting better everyday.

I had pretty bad vision loss after the surgery which seems to have returned since day 8 (thank god).
