That's not the folicle if that's what you're wondering. Had a couple of those fall in, don't bother too much about them because the root is safe in your scalp.

You will see mamy of them evryday bt don't worry they are hairs and not roots..

That is just a hair. HT is procedure that transplants not only "hair", which is dead matter produced by skin, but also the skin itself (hair follicle). 

Hair follicle is outside of hair, here is explanation :
